I am pleased with this thermometer. It has good accuracy so far and is so easy to read. I set it up so as not to bedisturbed by wind which happened the first day. It is hard plastic so could break.

Great quality, light and easy to hang and easy to read from a distance. I hung this inside but on an outside wall so it showed cooler than the room temp actually was. I moved it to an inside wall leaving a little gap to the back preventing it registering the temp of the wall and now it shows the correct temp.

Easy to read and inexpensive but inaccurate. I my case it read 5 degrees higher than actual temperature. It was possible to adjust with a little tinkering. It now reads accurately.

Inaccurate temp reading compared to my older thermometers (digital and mercury). It reads low inside by 3â°F and high outside by 4â°F. In the photo the actual temp is 18â°F but it reads 22â°F.It seems like the "ideal", accurate temperature threshhold should be around 42â°F by my calculation. It gets to -30â°F where I live, I don't trust it to be accurate that low. I bought this to see my low temps easier but it's just not that great.I may be able to tune it accurately for lower temps but I do not recommend this thermometer.

Big and easy to read from a distance. And the 12noon position indicates freezing temp of 32F, making it great for outdoor locations.Plastic but does the job!

Exactly what I wanted. I hung it my my garage so I could see if it got too cold in the winter for liquid things I stored there. Has been working perfectly. cmz

Ideally you won't need to adjust this at all but if needed, it is doable - just not intuitive or easy.First, place the thermometer somewhere you know the real temperature (from the weather forecast, or set the thermostat indoors, etc.)Pop off the cover (this is easy; there are 3 tabs you can push in from the back side)Next, you'll need a tiny flat screwdriver, like one for eyeglasses. On the back side, in the center of the coil, there are grooves that you can apply a screwdriver to. It looks like a Phillips pattern but the grooves probably aren't deep enough for an actual Phillips bit, see if this flat screwdriver fits enough to be able to turn without slipping.You won't actually use the screwdriver to turn the coil though, because it'll just spring back into place. Instead, use the screwdriver to hold the coil in place while you take your hand on the other side and adjust the dial itself (using the screwdriver to keep the coil locked in place relative to the dial).It'll take a while to fine tune this, but it should work.4 stars because despite this difficulty, mine came calibrated pretty close to the actual temperature and the price was fantastic.

Thought this product looked good, but when I read the instructions it states not to put anywhere sunny.Being as this is designed for outside use this seemed totally absurd as the sun will reach it eventually. When the sun reaches it the reading is not correct.

The thing I like about this thermometer is the size of the numbers, so easy to read. However, doesn't matter what the weather is like or how big the numbers are because it always 82F in our house! I tried putting it the garage where it's hotter than hell but still 82F.I would return it but it arrived on recycling day and the box was thrown away.I would NOT recommend this product.
