I purchased these because none of the feeler gauge sets in the corporate run auto supply stores had any sets that go thinner than .0015" and I wanted down to .001". I was pleasantly surprised that the Spurtar set I received goes down to .0005". More than adequate for home machinist use. I intend to buy a second set to dedicate it for use with a gauge block set I'll be ordering shortly.

I bought these for doing guitar setups on my instruments. I did not need microscopic precision, and these are exactly what I wanted.I've read other review where people are complaining that they were covered in oil when they arrived. Well, YEAH...They're STEEL. They're meant to be packed and shipped so they can sit on a shelf for a couple years before they sell. OF COURSE they're covered in oil! If they HADN'T been and they came with the slightest amount of oxidation on them, the person complaining about the oil would have complained about that.I expected them to be oily. They weren't as bad as I expected. I opened the package, took a rag, and wiped them down. Then I used them. Easy as that.They work as advertised. They do what I bought them to do. I have no complaints.

I like the pointy ends on this set, nice for valve adjustments on small tappets like on motorcycles.

Needed a every thin gauge 0.06 other sets didn't go that small. My atv vavles were chatting, ordered these and they worked great!!!! Vavles are no longer chattering.
