My son loves this! He thinks it is the best spy toy. It can get annoying to hear what he has recorded and plays it back in weird voices, but he thinks it is so funny. I like that it entertains him and didn't cost a lot.

To be fair, when I ordered this got my don, I thought it would be similar to the old school Home Alone voice disguise recorder from the 90’s. So perhaps my expectations were set a little to high. This records, and the “disguise†element of it is to simply make it faster or slower. The sound quality is not great and my 6 year old lost interest with it in about 20 minutes. Definitely a swing and a miss!

This thing is simple but exactly what I was hoping for. I was looking for a vintage YAK BAK to show my kids how cool they were. This thing is exactly the same as a YakBak. Listening to your kids on repeat is not as fun as it sounds.

I bought this for my 5 year old son as a birthday gift, remembering how much fun I had as a child with my 'Yak Bak', recording my voice and playing it back with various distortions. Little man does not have a tablet, so I was excited to find a device similar to the one I enjoyed as a child. And it is cool. When he opened it, he played with it for an hour straight. Then he brought it to me because it stopped working.At first I thought, oh, it probably had old batteries in it from being in a warehouse, and bought some more batteries online (it takes three button cells). The new batteries came, I put them in (opening and closing the compartment with some difficulty) and hooray, the toy worked again! ...for another hour. Then I had a frustrated kid at my side again because it had already stopped working. Tried it out myself and yup - one hour of play rendered the batteries useless. At this point continuing to buy batteries for this thing would be more expensive than buying my child a fancy audio recorder, so it turned out to be a no-go for our family.

This little thing was the biggest hit at Christmas! Everyone laughs each time we use it. Sound quality is great, easy to use. Holds up to kids' use. Will be buying more!

Very small and poorly made and didn't manipulate voice well. Hard to take battery cover off. Wasn't worth the money

My kid has fun with it but it doesn’t really disguise the voice just sounds a bit muffled. He’s having fun and that’s what counts.

This was fun to play around with but your voice doesn't come out very clear so for my son who wanted something legit, it didn't cut it. He's having fun making sounds into it
