After installing the attachment, and working with it a few minutes, I was able to drill the square hole. The learning phase is a little longer than using a mortising tool, but the attachment is less expensive and easier to store.

It's very flimsy and might not fit all drills. When making the holes, there's not much structure mounting and it wobbles a bit on our plug in DeWalt drill.

Construction material good. Received item with no instructions for attaching to drill or setting drill bit depth. Did not cut square hole.
