I bought these for different intentions for squatting. While I do squat often at the gym, I don’t find the need for heel elevation. These were bought for the purpose of:(1) Portability - This small compact size makes it easy to take it with any where(2) Achilles tendon and calve stretches(3) elevated push up gripsI find that these are perfect portable blocks to take with me in my car. Whether I am doing a long run or a hike, I no longer have to find a curb or walk to stretch my calves or achilles. In addition, these help relieve the stress on my wrist when I do push ups by positioning my hands at an angle.Overall, good sturdy product.

I never used wedges for squats before, but I tried these. They are firm, with the right amount of "squish." I'm not sure how many lifts I would use them for, since I am accustomed to squatting flat, but I did see a significant improvement in my form for overhead squats while using the wedges!

This GYMKARA squat wedges are well made and sturdy. They look just the the photo. The cork is very dense and seem like they would withstand heavier body weights (I’m only in the 120s#). The non-slip surface is a nice touch - that way my sneakers don’t slide down the wedge like they do on cheaper wedges. Downside would be if you did leg day with socks on - the grip surface would catch on your socks. The bag for carrying this item is a nice touch - easy to throw in my gym bag and find in leg day! Highly recommend. The different angled surfaces would be good for other activities like stretching calves, etc.

Overall, this is a well designed and implented wedge. Appreciate the multiple angles that it can used which makes it more than a one trick pony in the home gym. Light weight, sturdy enough to handle my bulk + 250 lbs on the squat. Didn't slip!A few notes for improvement:The wedges are 5" wide. My feet are 4.5" wide. This makes for a pretty tight target to hit when holding aoaded squat bar. Would appreciate a few more inches to shoot for.The cork material seems to flake initially, especially off the bottom when doing weighted squats. Not a big deal, just had to wipe down the gym mat after wondering where the dirty came from for a minute.

I was very impressed with the packaging. Entire contents was shrink-wrapped. Blocks were in a protective carrying bag, and each block was shrink-wrapped. The height is good although I would like an option for a slightly higher block. I have larger feet. I cannot get a good stretch at the bottom. The non-slip material fell off after one use. What is the best adhesive to use to put the material back on?

I use these for elevating my heels on calf raises and squats. They are sturdy and have two angles to choose from. The only area for improvement is in the range of motion - I have larger feet, so it would be nice to have a bit more length, but it isn't a huge problem since the cork grips the floor quite well, making the foot position stable. Quite good for knees-over-toes functionality (squats, lunges, and variations thereof such as sissy squats).

Okay - so £27 seems like a very high price to pay for two blocks of cork. And it is. But this is very dense cork, I hear you say....! Okay - it is still really ridiculously expensive, even if the cork is dense. In terms of materials, it is worth less than £1.BUT - these blocks are perfectly shaped and moulded. And they really help with both squats and toe-raises. These little blocks are utterly superb. Seriously, I was amazed.I am still shocked I spent £27 on them, but they are actually worth it. Unless you happen to have a large block of cork, a handsaw, a really good craftsman's hand, and the ability to hot compress and finish the outer surfaces so that the cork doesn't crumble. Basically, £26 worth of labour and machinery. And £1 of materials. They are just really nice to use. And you feel like you can trust them when you have a barbell in your hands, or when you are trying to teach your calf muscles to stretch just a little bit more. Nice.

Years ago we all did squats in the gym with a bit of 2 by 1 under our heels - how times have changed! Having had two knee replacements I found my knees really stiff and squatting almost impossible. Having purchased these I now squat every day and have so much more movement in my knees. They are absolutely ideal for balance and keeping knees in the correct position - highly recommended.

Just completed my 1st workout with these new squat wedges and wow did they do their job perfectly. They are heavier and sturdier than expected (not squishy like others I've tried). I love the bit of grip on the top to hold the foot from moving (and it's not too scratchy when bare foot). They didn't slide at all on my gym floor but wanted to give them a real test on my slippery house floor and they didn't budge there either. Fantastic product all around ðŸ‘
