Found an echo weedeater on the side of the road in my neighborhood in a box with "free" written on it . Was an older gentleman's house and he was actually out mowing when i stopped. He came over to me and said he was tired of messing with it, and that he was pretty sure it just needed carburetor work and told me to take it. After messing with it some myself, I determined the diaphragm was busted. Bought this and stuck it on in an evening and it runs like brand new. Used it all summer with no issues.

I installed everything except the spark plug on my SRM-225 Echo. Gaskets fit perfectly. Fuel hoses are a little challenging to replace, but was made easier with a little coaxing from a flat tip screwdriver. Normally I avoid Chinese "junk" but decided to give this a try because I was unsure if the carb was the issue. I figured if it didn't work, I was only out twelve bucks. To my surprise, everything fit as it should and my 10+ year old weed whacker fired up on the very first pull, after I primed it of course. This was well worth the money. Better than spending a couple hundred on a new machine.

I am a landscaper and use these commercially. I ordered 2 of these for an Echo trimmer and edger. Everything went on easily (15-30 minute install) and both pieces of equipment start very easily now (1 to 3 pulls). The trimmer works great! The edger mostly works. It seems like it isn't getting enough gas, but that could just be motor having issues. Before I put this on the edger wouldn't run at all.The pressure vents (3rd line with the white cap on the end) that came with these kits just spewed a stream of gas like a water fountain when there was any gas in the reservoir, so i put the old ones on and that problem was solved. I've had these installed for about a week now with no other issues. It was totally worth doing these repairs myself instead of dropping them off at a repair shop, waiting for them to get around to it, and paying their labor cost. I probably saved the company over $100.00!

Simple replacement but does not come with the 2 gaskets as advertised which would make this a great value and facilitate carburetor rebuild.
