I ordered 2, one for my flute and one for my Sopranino sax. They are great to use in my office/studio instead of floor stands

To mount the plate to the wall, you must first remove the screws that hold the shelf bracket. I could not get them out, a friend at the machine shop ended up drilling them out for me. I went to the local hardware store and bought new screws. Will have to paint them black to match the paint. Other than that, it works great.

I bought this along with a Stagg saxophone stand. This version came with two mounting plates (the sax version only came with one). One plate for mounting on slotted grooves (like you might see at a music store) and one for mounting directly into the wall (which is what I used). Stagg gives you two "heavy duty" plastic anchors (if there is such a thing), but I used a toggle bolt and a smaller plastic anchor for added security. After installing the mounting plate, you screw the stand into the plate and you're good to go. It looks nice and holds well.

Perfect for displaying your instrument as art and having it ready and waiting for playing at a moments notice.Very sturdy and innovative mounting system that. I feel like after an earthquake my clarinet would still be on the wall. Really great!
