Working Principle
Use the float ball water level floating principle, the floating ball rod is connected to the valve, and when it rises to a constant level, the rubber piston will close the valve. When the water level drops, the float also drops, and the rod drives the piston to open. It keeps the water bowl full of clean water at all times.

Installed outside for our dog and it exceeded our expectations. Our dog loves it and he's scared of everything so that was a plus.

The trough works great as long as a different hose is used. The factory hose is junk.

I really like the design of this automatic waterer. I have another similar to this, but not exactly because this one has hinges on the floater cover which is very convenient to use if I need to access to check on the floater. The other models have covers that do not have hinges and have to be unscrewed it in order to access the floater. In my opinion that is less convenient so I prefer this model. The set up was very easy and everything works as it should for now. I did not have it long enough so I am not sure for how long it will last, but all is fine for now. I also want to point out that I really liked that yellow ring attached to the hose to help to tighten it well, I thought it was really great idea. Overall it is well made and the metal feels thick and heavy duty. I will be definitely recommending this automatic waterer.

Water bowl part is fine i guess, the brand new hose leaked on both ends. After a trip to lowes and $12 more dollars later, it works

Got it all set up and it seemed fine no leaks, it filled up fine. The next day I go out and the hose is leaking badly not sure why it took so long but yeah.

I am using this to be sure my dogs always have water outside, and it works great. Auto refills as soon as it gets low. Holds water with no issue. With proper tightening and taping, the hoses do not leak at all.

The hoses all leaked. I bought 2 and they both did the same thing right out of the box, on both ends. No way to tighten it up. Poor design. Don’t waste your money.
