The stainless steel construction makes it durable yet lightweight and easy to handle. The "down-side" is that the internal "press" part is plastic and is not dishwasher safe. The kit includes what I feel is a standard set of cookie discs, along with eight additional icing nozzles which will come in handy when decorating.—perfect for both beginners and seasoned bakers alike!Update: After baking two batches of cookies with this press I notice a decline in the construction quality. It became much harder to get a firm connection of the press arm to the dough core. There are also noticeable sharp edges in the "teeth" - I have cut across my hand due to the slippage of the pieces.
