I had another salad spinner from years ago and it wasn’t any thing like this one.This salad spinner is quite large so it can have quite a lot in it. The bottom is silver so it is stainless steel. It is made good. The spin is very nice and it also has a stop button. I had a plastic one before so this one is a little heavier but not that bad.

It is a great spinner, but the removable pivot is a minor aggravation when dumping out the water.

This salad spinner is simply amazing. From its fairly large capacity to its fit-and-finish, there is so much attention to details and it achieves results. This product starts with a stainless steel bowl with a silicone base that is both soft to the touch and non-slip. The base itself is flat and sturdy so that it does not wobble on the counter top. The interior includes a plastic mound which the plastic basket sits on. The notches in the plastic basket are slender and long so that your salad stays in the basket, but it is easy for the water to spin out. The clear plastic lid fits perfectly on the stainless steel bowl, and the circular spinner connects perfectly with the basket inside. Once everything is in place, there is no wobble and everything feels solid. The knob is nice and large and incredibly comfortable to hold and rotate. The spinning motion is very smooth and feels quite pleasant. Your other hand naturally falls on the lid to hold the bowl in place, and there is plenty of room for your hand. But even if you try to spin this single-handedly, the lid stays on and the base keeps the bowl from sliding away. It’s nice that it includes a stop button, but I don’t use it. It is much more fun watching the spinner stop on its own. The bowl itself is not heavy, and it is very easy to pour out the water from the slits in the cover.The best part is that the salad is left drier, but still retaining moisture. This means by lunchtime, my salad was crisp and fresh without any excess water. I was amazed at how delicious my salad tasted just because I used this salad spinner instead of just a colander.I would definitely recommend this Shalom Premium 304 Stainless Steel Salad Spinner. It is well made, is easy to use, and delivers incredible results.

I didn't know what this was for but my spouse insisted we needed one. It's great! I mostly use it to mix salads. It's a pretty good size for two people but a voracious person could eat the entire contents of this one mid sized bowl themselves without much trouble. We like to share. You spin the wheel to mix the salad. It's a lot easier and less messy than doing it by hand. When I use a fork or tongs I always lose some over the side.Be prepared: it's noisy. Sounds like a jet engine taking off but it really builds up a lot of force. You can use it to wash and then dry your salad the same way the spin cycle in a laundry machine works. The centrifugal force pushes the water to the walls of the internal basket and then through the holes into the bowl, removing it from your salad.My spouse is big into washing the salad before mixing it so everyone wins. I just like making it go. It's fun to spin!

It's a salad spinner. It spins smoothly as it should. The handle feels good in hand and it's easy to make the basket spin. The lid closes properly. The big thing here is that the base is stainless steel, so is definitely more durable than the average plastic salad spinner. Since it's a metal bowl, it can also be used for mixing, like for baking. Definitely more versatile as well as more durable than a plastic bowl.

I’ve been wanting one of these for years but never actually bought one. My husband finally got tired of me talking about it and not following through, so he got this one for me. So far, it’s been a great spinner!The bowl is solid, and the rubber base keeps it in place while in use. The spinning mechanism works smoothly, is made from thick plastic, and feels well-built. You can get it spinning pretty fast without worrying about breaking it. It also holds a large amount, which is perfect for our family of five.It works exactly as I hoped and does the job perfectly. If I ever needed another one, I’d absolutely buy this again!

I'll begin with what I like about this stainless steel salad spinner. I very much like the look. The silicone bottom prevents it from slipping while in use. The drainage hole is convenient. The spinner stops quickly and easily when the 'stop' button is pressed. I also appreciate how the bowl can be used for other things including as a mixing bowl. Now for the areas of improvement. It would be great if the spinner were larger. There appears to be some drag or resistance while using the spinner when it is completely full. Lastly I have concern that the plastic knob, which I can feel pulling or moving when I use the spinner, has the potential to evenutally break off.

It costs a bit more but the quality is worth it. Our cheaper salad spinners with plastic bowls broke too quickly. This one has clearly a strong bowl and the mechanism seems very sturdy as well.
