The leather looks like it will last for a long time. Stitching appears tight and well done. Simply exercise care in handling. That is, don't drop or throw it around and keep the leather dry. In NV I have to use something to keep leather from drying out. If you live in a damp climate you might have to use something to prevent mildew should the bag get wet or damp. I would not use this for shooting a revolver unless you cover it with an old towel. The blast from the cylinder gap of even a very close tolerance revolver will eventually ruin the leather. That said, this bag will give you a good rest from a bench or other surface you might be using for rifle or handgun.

Just about anything with the Protector brand name on it is going to be a well thought out, high quality shooting accessory. This Standard Front Bag is a favorite of our family at the range. The top grain leather construction will last years and years and only gets better looking the more it is used. You will see ancient versions of Protector accessories at any shooting range which have been used for many years and even handed down to the next generation. They cost a few bucks more, but you only will buy it once.

This is an extremely sturdy bag that stays in my range kit so that when I'm sighting my scope, I have a perfect place to prop my rifle. In the past, I'd just use a duffel bag, but after buying an AR with a compensator that shoots fire out of both sides, that was no longer an option.This bag holds up to heat, flame, recoil and dropping. In a pinch, it makes for a great rifle rest while you're cleaning it out.100% USA-made and built to last. Spend the extra money and get this. You won't regret it.

This product is sold as a target rifle support, but I use it as a cradle for performing maintenance to my stringed instruments. From my resonator guitar to my electric bass, the Protektor bag keeps the neck dead stable and the leather material conforms to and cushions the instrument's neck without any danger of finish damage or movement. I give it a five star rating - it sure beats having to lay the instrument neck across a rolled up bath towel!

Comes with a little too much sand. Had to drain out some to give it some flex. Treated the leather to soften and it is a good bag. Should improve more with use.

This is very well made and looks nice. However, it is a bit low for my M1A. I have to put it on a small stand to elevate it to the correct height. Otherwise, I'm propping up the front of the rifle with my hand on top of the bag. Which defeats the purpose. Part of why I bought a Caldwell DFT lead sled.

Little bite deceiving... it's a lot of quality. But it's empty, and does not have a zipper... juste a little pipe to fullfill the sand in the bag!!

Item is well made and works well.** but ** the listing states that this is filled and weighs 1.58kg. It is empty and flat packed. For the higher price over the empty one, I would expect it filled. -3 stars.
