Original Blower motor switch was almost 30 years old and showed signs of burnt and loose connections on the switch body. This switch is a great replacement and worked just as described. I swapped it out and have zero issues. I recommend replacing the connector if you have the knowledge to do so.

Fixed my burned switch on my 1996 xj cherokee. Ultimate problem ended up being a poor vacuum seal on my heater valve switch but this piece was still a good replacement.

Good value to fix a hard to find hvac controller. Seems like oem with same quality. Will update if anything bad happens. Best to do away with plastic connector and use a spade on the oem harness do avoid plastic melting.

Fits like a glove. fixes very common issue on jeep xj's. Now my heat and ac are working again. Very simple to replace. I would definitely recommend.

The XJ Cherokees up to 96 have bad wiring from the factory (examples include the headlight wiring that dims over time, the small battery wires that corrode and reduce performance over time, and the engine ground straps). Another area that used terrible wire choice was the HVAC system. The blower motor ages over time and the aged bearing causes an increased draw of power. This eventually leads to the Blower Switch overheating and essentially melting itself and rendering the whole system useless.This switch is a band-aid fix to the real problem (the blower motor) but has brought my HVAC system back online for the time being. It is nice having AC and a fan in my Cherokee again!To perform a real repair of the issue, one would have to replace the blower motor, the blower motor resistor, this switch and likely some of the wiring would have to be upgraded to the next larger wire size. For now, this will have to do!
