O.K., Standard isn't the best name for a Company. I don't know how many times I've had to say "I'm looking for a Standard such-n-such for may car...and that's Standard like the brand, not the original equipment." It gets confusing, especially to the 18 year old behind the counter at Kragens.Anyway, this particular ignition pick up is very obscure in today's world. These fit 2.9l Ford V6 distributors. Royal pain to change since Ford's "superior" design was to mount them captive under the pressed-on trigger wheel mounting flange, beneath the rotor. Distributor must come out and be completely disassembled to change this part. Cam drive gear is pressed-on, and uses a roll-pin. Another superior Ford design, just like the TFI module that plugs into this part here.This Standard LX222 is a quality part. Box and part itself don't say where it's made, hopefully USA or Canada. The cheaper LX222T equivalent is probably made in China. Strangely, the colors of the three wires are swapped compared to the factory Ford part. Black, Red and Green on the Ford one and Black, Green and Red on the Standard one. Minor mistake, if that even qualifies as one. The part works, that's what's important. Many thanks to the Tech Forums at The Ranger Station dot com which helped me diagnose this part as my problem.No one can touch this price for this part. RockAuto was $25-$30 more, plus their ridiculous shipping costs and Kragen was about $50 more! For the exact same part! Remember, "Just say no" to A1 Cardone remans and fix it yourself!

Ordered a -new- pickup coil. This is what I received. As soon as I saw the dirty, beat up 30 year old looking box I was concerned. My suspicions were confirmed when I opened it to find a dirty, obviously used part. You can see by the witness marks around the screw holes that it had already been installed once.Returned it and will buy elsewhere..

After 10 minutes of running the car the tach needle started bouncing. I removed the pip and replaced it with a used motorcraft unit, car fired up with no bouncing tach. I would stay away.
