When replacing the switch, make sure that the break pedal is pressed down as much as possible. Then, take the switch and insert it into the appropriate location. Twist it counter clock wise until you hear a snap. Connect the wire harness/pigtail. Slowly release the brake pedal all the way to its normal position.I had an issue with installing it because connecting it directly to the wire harness will not make the brake lights turn on. I thought the switch was broken. What makes it "active" is that counter clockwise turn and snap. This adjust the internal components and allows the electricity to flow through the switch. I only found out about it by taking apart my old switch and seeing how it works.

This is so easy and simple to put in and remove the bad one. If your park shift is stuck or having problems getting stuck from time to time, this part will fix it thanks to a YouTube video I watched that guided me to this part!! I would recommend this to family, friends and everyone.

Had a problem with my 2015 Ford fusion not wanting to go over 45 and my break lights staying on. This part took 1 day to get to me and 5 minutes to switch out. And worked immediately.

I bought this switch as a spare since my 2012 Ford Taurus seems to eat them. Tried it to make sure it worked and exact fit and works well. Now I carry it in the trunk, so the next time it happens, will not have to call a tow truck, because car will not come out of park. Less than 1/3 the cost of parts store and 1/4 the cost at Ford dealership.

This was the right fix for a 2015 Ford Mustang. The Mustang had the following issues:1. Brake/Stop Lights stayed on (bright) continuously.2. Cruise Control would not work.Diagnostic Codes thrown were as follows:1. B1115 (Circuit short to rear parking aid).2. B1115E (Video encoder bus signal erratic). After Internet research, I ordered this part (stop light switch). Installation took only about 5 minutes. Following replacement, cranked up the car, tested and re-ran the diagnostic scan tool. The above issues were resolved and the diagnostic codes cleared. No further issues!Saved probably $100 to $250 depending on your area (mechanic costs to troubleshoot and repair). I would recommend this replacement if you are experiencing similar issues and this part fits your vehicle.Have a great day!

This fit my 2015 F150 Lariat as if it were OEM, but at a fraction of the cost. Now will it last seven years, that remains to be seen, but right now, I am 100% satisfied.
