Repaiing a vintage vehicle can be a challange for parts needs. Back when these vehicle were new I trusted Standard Brand products for electrical needs. It is still the same today. Standard Brand electrical products are as good today as they were years ago. This particular part is used to control voltges to the instrument gauges. It pulses power to a very fine limit. This replacement part was spot on when it comes to falling within those limits.Comes in an original box with the limiter inside. Very pleased with the results of the repair using this part.

This unit was bad straight out of the box. Don't waste your money.

My husband needed this for his 1972 dodge charger. Ordered one at the parts store, but the fittings were wrong. I was totally shocked to find this one on amazon. We were skeptical, but ordered it anyway, and it works great, for how long, I don't know, but at the moment, we are pleased with it.

First off as a retire mechanic years ago I was always confident with Standard ignition products. This voltage stabilizer came with ZERO documentation and a very damaged box. So it is difficult for me to determine my existing fault. I have no idea if this stabilizer has a polarity ( + input) or not. I purchased this since my fuel gauge is not functioning and this could have been a solution. I have two sending units, two dash gauges and neither work with or without this stabilizer. I have also tested on a test bed eliminating the car wiring as a possible fault. So hooking up either way, or with either gauges or sending units still doesn't work. So I may have a faulty unit or there is some fundamental item I am missing that is the issue. With some basic documentation I would at least be better able to diagnose with some confidence!
