Replaced this on a 2004 express 3500 with the 6.0L. Also replaced the connector as well. Fixed the hard shifting immediately. So far so good, don't know about longevity, as i just replaced it but we will see.

Was having a hi idle/rev that had my car going 20-30 mph without using throttle and this was my first choice as the problem. Amazing, I picked the right part first choice. Cheaper throwing darts ( trying a few parts) than taking it to the shop. Worst that can happen is I'll have new parts on old car and still not pay what an hour of diagnostic shop time is. Been doing that for 50 years and only one time it didn't work, but 2 different shops couldn't figure it out either. I ended up fixing it but that's a different story.

This part is not even Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) but is priced 63% higher than even the dealership price!! Someone is trying to rip somebody off is all I can say. This part is available at NAPA/O'Reilly as low as $24 and on Ebay for less than $20!!

I tried 3 others from Amazon and all had issues, 1 I could not even install as the hole for the shaft was made too small and 2 were ok but at times at a stop and slight accelerator quick on/off like parking would stall the vehicle. This works perfect and has no issues at all, I have installed it for weeks to make sure. This is the one to buy!
