What can I say about a staple remover... it removes staples. It's robust and works fine, removing large heavy-weight staples.

Mother in law bought a cottage with old carpet. Hardwood underneath was left with tons of staples. This worked great to get the staples out without scratching the floors but beware you are going to be on the floor for a long time getting those stinkers out one by one. Room by room. Day after day.

I purchased 2 other staple remover tools and they just couldn't pull out the stubborn staples in the chair I was trying to repair. Then, I ordered this tool and pulled those pesky staples right out. What a great tool. I highly recommend.

What makes a good tool would be the quality of the tool. This staple puller pulls out heavy staples but takes a little work to use it. It does the job. But, what I dislike immensely is the metal finish. It’s painted chrome or something, and it chips off terribly, and it’s annoying. It’s messy and it just proves this tool is just average.

Took me ten minutes to get all the stapels out of my motorcycle cycle sear before this tool took a hour and it was still hard you need this for upholstery or any place that has stapels went to ace hardware didn't no what I was talking about real get of the price is rite and saves you from aggravation and saves time

This staple remover was not designed to pull out heavy duty staples. The design is great and I was really looking forward to using it. But the tip that is put under the staple to remove it broke off immediately. When I inspected the location of the failure I realized that it is not made from metal but some sort of plastic composite of some sort. If you are using it to pull staples out of MDF or something soft it will probably last a little while but this is definitely not as advertised. I ended up having to do it the old fashion way with a flat screwdriver, hammer and pliers.
