  • TRANSFER SPEEDS UP TO 10Gbps: USB-A & USB-C PCIe card adapter supports Multiple INs maintaining max bandwidth with mixed speed devices and UASP optimizing USB performance with external storage devices like SSDs, HDDs, NVMe drives; Works w/ USB 3.1/3.0/2.0
  • OPTIONAL POWER: USB PCIe expansion card with SATA power supplies supplemental power to the USB ports (when motherboard power is insufficient) providing up to 5V 3A/15W via the USB Type-C port & 5V 0.9A/4.5W via each USB port
  • COMPATIBILITY: USB C add-on card installs in full or low-profile PCIe 3.0 (x4 slot) desktop/server (full-profile bracket installed, low profile bracket incl.); lower performance with PCI-e 2.0; Windows/Linux/macOS auto driver install (Windows 8 & up)

This 5-port USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) combo card makes it easy to add to the performance and connectivity of your computer. The USB 3.2 card offers a USB Type-C port (10Gbps), two traditional USB Type-A ports (10Gbps), and a motherboard header (USB 5Gbps). By offering a range of USB port types, you can easily connect a variety of modern and legacy USB devices, both inside and outside your computer. Because the card offers a 10Gbps USB ports, you can save time and avoid the performance bottlenecks that are often associated with other connectivity technologies. USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB 10Gbps) is also known as USB 3.1 (10Gbps). USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) is also known as USB 3.0 (5Gbps). Work faster and prepare for the future This versatile PCI Express combo card leverages the performance potential of USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) to help you work faster. The USB ports offer a data throughput of up to 10Gbps, so you can spend less time waiting for file transfers to complete or for access to your external peripherals. Connect different types of USB devices Now you can easily add a variety of types and speeds (generations) of USB ports to your desktop or server, using a single adapter card. The card features: One external USB-C port (10Gbps) Two external USB-A ports (10Gbps) One internal 20-pin IDC motherboard header port that can provide two internal USB-A ports (5Gbps) With a range of port types, the card lets you bridge the gap between devices that use different connectors. You can simultaneously connect and access USB Type-A and USB Type-C devices, while using only a single PCI Express expansion slot. By adding three types of USB ports in one combo card, you can free up space in your PC case, and eliminate the nuisance of having different cards for different USB devices. Ideal for building or upgrading your computer With two internal motherboard-style headers, this dynamic USB 3.2 card is perfect for upgrading or building your own computer. If your existing headers are occupied, or if you don't have any motherboard headers, you can connect front panel hubs or card readers using this versatile alternative to costly motherboard or computer upgrades. Connect your older USB devices Connecting your older peripherals isn't a problem. This 5-port USB 3.2 card is backward compatible with legacy USB 3.2 Gen 1, 2.0 and 1.1 devices, so you can eliminate the added expense and aggravation of purchasing new devices. PEXUSB312A1C1H is backed by a StarTech.com 2-year warranty and free lifetime technical support. Note: The card does not support DP alt mode or USB Power Delivery.

This PCIe Card adds functionality, extending the life of expensive equipment. Use with StarTech's 4 pin molex to SATA power adapter cable to power external drives.

It initially worked and then suddenly quit working when I used a new faster Anker Thunderbolt 4 USB-C cable. Cable worked fine on other PC's. Tired several other high speed USB-C Cables. Used the old slower USB-C cable and it works. Cause: Rather than lower performance with PCI-e 2.0 it simply crashes the card driver as seen in Windows logs. I installed the OEM driver off the Startech.com website and after two tries (bundled installer failed saying couldn't find it's own card) and forcing it to manually find the driver to get the driver installed it somewhat worked again. Showed the device but wouldn't show the drive or files. (SSD Drive and iPhone 16.) iMazing did however work somehow and allowed photo transfers. My old Z420 Workstation has a mix of PCI Express Gen2 and Gen 3 slots. I had installed the card on Gen2 PCI-e slot. It works fine in a Gen3 PCI Express slot with a fast USB-C cable. So a slower USB-C cable will allow it to work in a Gen2 PCI Express slot (PCI-e 2.0) for those systems. Note: I obtained and tested the more expensive PEXUSB312A2C2V model card and it worked with the faster USB C cable in the slower PCI-e 2.0 slot.

Got this to connect my two extra 3.0 ports on my computer case & to also use the USB-C for a hub. When installed Windows would not see the device on my main machine but would send power to devices. Tried on two other machines was replicable, would power on LEDs on USB devices but would not send any data to the computer.Very disappointed as this is one of the more expensive PCIe cards and was hoping that paying the extra buck I would have no issues...Waiting on replacement device, will update review if things turn out differently.

This seems to work as expected, but beware, it was packaged with no cushioning and (and this is the big one) with NO ANTI-STATIC precautions. It was just thrown into a box along with a metal mount. Just loosely flopping around in the box (see pictures). I nearly didn't install it for fear of damaging my pc, or simply wasting my time. But I hate the returns process and I really can't wait for another one to ship. So I installed it and it seems to be ok. If anything happens or if it stops working, I will be sure to update.

It should be more prominent in the description that this is an x4 card. I only have x1 and x16 slots on my motherboard and I'm not sacrificing an x16 slot to run this x4 card. You can find other and better USB-C cards that are still x1 size.

My motherboard has 5Gbps USB. This card is slower than that.

I bought a Quest 2 and want to use it over link cable for best image quality and latency but none of my USB ports on my computer could deliver enough power to keep it charged while playing. So I got this card because of the advertised up to 3A charging. First off it only delivers little over 1A.... kind of disappointing BUT it does deliver enough power to keep the Meta Quest 2 charged while playing over link so i'm happy. If you're looking for a USB card that can keep the Quest 2 charged while playing this is it.it does what I needed it to do... but a little on the pricey side.

I have the Thermaltake Tower 500 which has 4 usb 3.0 on front upper panel. Motherboard only has one input which splits for 2 of them. This worked awesome for powering the other two. Checked in Device Manager and all four are usb 3.0 and powered now..time will tell but it looked good and fit nicely. Plug and play with windows 11

Werden die Lanes von der CPU bereitgestellt, so wird die LKarte nicht erkann. Bei den normalen PCH-Slots läuft die Karte super.

I spent a whole morning chatting on and off with Startech trying to get this recognised by my brand new MSI Tomahawk mobo (B760 chipset with Intel 12400F CPU) without any luck. That was a pity, because its features were an exact match to my needs. At Startech’s request I tried it in another (3 year old) machine and it worked fine, so my guess is that it is something to do with it not liking gen4 PCIe. So be warned - it might not even be seen by your system if you have a modern fast mobo.
