I have a computer with two video outputs, one is an HDMI and the other one was a DP. I had an older computer with the DVI connection and this connected right to the DP Port right to my older monitor with a DVI and now I have two monitors. This is a very good product very well made and it saved my day.

New computers are ditching the VGA and DVI ports in favor of HDMI and Displayport. My monitor, while older, still works just fine. Translation is seamless. I'm also using a 4 port KVM switch with this adapter and have no issues.

This works great..plugged in and instantly had my 4th display working with no issues at all.I see several people stating that this will not work with a 3rd or 4th monitor. Well that is just computer hardware ignorance. The ability of this plug to work with 2+ monitors has nothing to do with the cable. It all depends on your graphics card.Most lower end cards will only support 2 active displays, I have an Nvidia 660 Ti GTX model which allows up to 4 active displays (2x DVI, 1x HDMI and 1x Display port) I had 3 monitors working off the 2 dvi and 1 HDMI..i got this converter to add the 4th display. Many lower end cards will have the 2 standard DVI / VGA ports and a 3rd option for HDMI or display port. This DOES NOT mean your card can run 3 displays unless its spec-ed for it. it is simply an alternative option to the 2x DVI/VGA. I hope this may help clear it up for future buyers of this product.Check your graphics card specs as this is the ONLY factor in allowing you to add a 2+ monitor setup without using a 3rd party program. I would advise against those to begin with.I have already ordered an addition one of these. Great converter for the price.

Worked as promised, was able to get an older computer monitor to work as a second screen. No issues since purchase. Was a plug and play sort of deal, worked on it's own. Were I to need this item again, I would certainly purchase it again, and I would recommend it.

Needed a DVI-D to DP adapter because I purchased a new video card and was using a newer DP to DVI-D cable as needed from my previous video card. Eventually, I will upgrade the monitor connected to it and move to a DP to DP cable but, this was a perfect solution in the interim.

Maybe it's just me, but it was tricky to find and make sure this was the right adapter. My 8GB Video Card with DisplayPort (or Display Port) output needed to talk to my old DVI-I Monitor. Works perfectly, good quality.

I'm not very technically aware when it comes to DVI and analogue signals, so was unsure when I read a few reviews suggesting that it did not work correctly with dual monitors. I, however, simply wanted it to connect my new work laptop to a new 22" LED monitor. Cautiously, I bought only 1 of these adapters (despite needing 2), but once it arrived, it simply plugged in and worked beautifully, and I immediately ordered a 2nd. As said, does what it says in the tin, and a very good price.

Back when I was still driving a DVI-enabled monitor, this came in handy when I upgraded to a GPU that lacked any DVI ports, but had an excess of DP ports.

Usato poco anche perchè alla fine approfittando degli sconti del black friday di amazon ho cambiato il monitor con uscita displaport. L'oggetto fa il suo dovere funziona perfettamente senza dare mai problemi. Di ottima fattura ed Amazon sempre precisa e puntuale nella spedizione e nell'imballo.
