very easy to install. i ran into 0 problems and works like a charm. highly recommend the long range remote starter in addition to the product. it comes with a remote that makes it even easier to start at a longer distance and is very easy to program. there may be a cheaper option but this is quality stuff and doesnt feel cheap. everything fits like it should.

Installation was EZ and videos were accurate. Starts up perfectly, locks doors and continues running when unlocked! Definitely worth time, money!

I just finished installing this product on my ‘21 Tacoma SR. I watched the video provided by the manufacturer and decided to take a go after it (a few beers deep at this point). All in all, it should’ve only taken about 30 min to install, if I would’ve done this when it was light out. Most difficult part was cutting the TPMS wire in pin 33. This was difficult only because it was a little tight in there and requires some side cuts. Tested it out and everything works perfectly! 10 out of 10 recommend.

2022 Tacoma SR5 double cap. My TPMS was a pink wire. That was the hardest part of the whole job. The connectors on my tpms conmector that came with it sucked. I cut em off and put my own on. Took only 20 minutes up till the tpms wire part. That was annoying. Once that was done then its programming. Which was also easy since I followed along with the video. Before I put it back together I tested the remote start and it worked!!!!

It works. The premade plug and play portion of it was really easy. The tpms wire was a pain. The butt connectors they give you are too big. I soldered mine and shrink tubed them. A little finicky on how many times you hit the lock button and you have to do it at a certain rhythm or else it doesn't auto start. Took one star off for the cheap and wrong sized butt connectors.

Today I installed the Start-X remote starter on my 2022 Tacoma SR5 Trail Edition.Very simple and straight forward. The only issues I had are that the colors of molecules connectors and the TPMS wire are different than in the instruction video; but it wasn’t that bad of a hangup.3 clicks on my key and the truck starts up. Does NOT shut off when I open the door, but shuts off when I press the brake pedal.Very happy with it!

Got this bad boy 2 years ago. Install wasn’t bad. And I get why the reviews are good. Most people, myself included had a good experience with it for a while. Until we didn’t. I had a few issues the first year that impacted tire pressure sensors and I stalled once ganging from park to drive. But I accredit those to 1 off situations.Now finally exactly 2 years later, when I start my car the dash screen is black and when I shift from park to neutral, the car shuts off and gives me “check charging systemâ€, “high transmission fluid temperatureâ€, and “low oil pressureâ€.If you are going to take the time to install one of these. Spend the money and get something that will last forever.

Installed one on my truck and bought this one to install on my inlaws truck. Once again love these kits, I'm a mechanic and have always been weary of aftermarket remote starters due them usually having to splice into wires and the problems they can cause but these plug and play kits are amazing! Took me probably about 30mins to do a really clean install and program! I didn't use the tpms interrupt wiring as this tacoma doesnt have the factory option for it but everything works just as it should! Once again am a very happy costumer and will be buying more of start x's products in the future!

This remote start is budget friendly and easy to install. For my 2022 SR5 Tacoma, I did not even have to cut a wire.

Great product easy to install and works great, doesn't shut off when door is opened very pleased with the unit. Just a little upset that a couple weeks after I bought it the price dropped by $200

Worked as desired, Instructions not 100% accurate. Only issue installing was I had to plug all wire harnesses in first before the power harness. Programming worked as per instructions after. First, I followed the included instructions that state you should do the opposite and install the power/ignition plugin first, that did not work. Also installed the Fortin RF KIT RFK411 for long range remote at the same time. Happy with the product so far. Those instructions were also wrong, required the key to be on-off-on and pump the brakes as per the instructions, the blue light also never came on. After I figured that out it all worked. Installed in a 2023 Tacoma SR and the truck stays running when I open the door. Since it is an SR I did NOT have to splice any wires, all plug and play.
