Install was very simple, follow the instructions on the video link they provide and i had it installed within 30 minutes, that was including me going overboard securing everything neatly and cutting all my zipties perfectly. Works perfectly as advertised

I had purchased another manufactures unit, it was a horror story, never got the blue light to sync and it cause my indicator for my battery to show "Check charging system" and locked my steering wheel and blew a fuse. THE START-X UNIT went in all done in 15 minutes and performed perfectly! So for the $20 I would have saved almost cost me a tow and going to Toyota for repair. GO WITH THE START-X UNIT! There is also a video to watch on YOUTUBE, not sure if its a company sponsored video, but look it up and watch it, the install will go as simple as the video shows. Good support if needed as well. I think they must all work the same, but I think to prevent theft after you've started it once you get in the vehicle you'll need to start the vehicle once again. If you leave your heat or a/c on it heats/cools but again once you open the door it shuts off. No one can steal the car must be why they do it.

This product is already improving my daily grind, no more getting out to start vehicle to warm up on cold days! Just a couple of things that may help with the install, even though it was very easy just by watching the provided video! When you drop your knee panel on your dash, secure your hood release pull and cable! (My cable come loose from the pull and I spent more time putting that back than I did installing the Starter! Just put a piece of tape over the back until you are ready to put back in place.) Another tip, when disconnecting the factory wiring harness, there is a release mechanism built into the plastic harness that you push in to get the harness to release without breaking it. The one at the steering column was easy, but the one under the dash I had to work with a little bit more, it is on the long side, just push in before trying to pull apart. Again, the video was on point and if you will just play and pause to the next point, you will have installed in 20-25 minutes. I am not a car mechanic by any means, work behind a desk most of my life, and if I say it is easy, it is! Please note, your vehicle will shut off in about 10 minutes on it's own if you don't open the door before then, so if you are going to be longer than that, you may need to restart your vehicle if it times out. It also shuts off when you do open the door, but to me, that is ok, it's still better than getting into a cold vehicle in the winter and a hot one in the summer. Just make sure to turn your heat back on to high when shutting off for the day, so it will be warmer when you get in, then you can adjust back down. Enjoy! I'm very happy I purchased this. So much cheaper and than dealership AND, you use your factory fob, and no need for their second one!

Bought as a Christmas present for my partner and it’s worked perfectly for the last year. It was a quick and easy install (YouTube). The only downside is the truck shuts off when you open the door, but I knew this when buying. Highly recommend based on value for money!

Hands down easiest install ever--we got it done in less than 30 minutes. Video was spot on, instructions were simple and easy to follow. Hopefully it will last the life of the truck. For now, I'm super happy....and warm!

It comes with a QR code to scan which takes you to a tutorial video that is actually pretty easy to follow. Install was easy and I've been using my new remote start every day. Only annoying thing (Toyota's fault) is that the car has to shut off when you open the door. There's basically no way to get around this safety feature from Toyota.
