I was hopeful as when I take off a certain jacket and then touch my metal desk, zapped everytime. I tried this device every way possible and it just does nothing at all. There is no value to this item and not sure if it's a scam or not. Into the rubbish bin she goes.

I had a similar item 25 years ago. and now need a new one.This works to dump static and not zap me . The cute face does show the discharge with a lightening bolt and smile.The problem is the sides and metal almost to the tip. When I had a lot of static (rubber soled shoes on carpet in a building) I got zapped and saw the spark jump between the metal sides and the cube edge i was trying to use.So would be 4 stars as it does work but less one for the design flaw with the longer metal sides.
