I'm so impressed with Taylor Swift's support of young instrumentalists. Go, Taylor! My 11 year old daughter was very happy to receive this flute music as a gift.

I am a huge Taylor Swift fan!!! So I bought this book as soon as I found it online thinking it was going to be great because I had been trying to figure it out myself but that wasn't working. So I ordered this book and was so excited for it to come!! I first played it with the CD that came with it, with the mallets playing in the background where you are supposed to play and it sounds really cool. But then I pulled out my iPod and played that while I played my flute and it didn't sound good. They have you taking all these repeats when you shouldn't and the lines of the second verse don't match up to the rhythm of the song. For example in Sparks Fly, they have you repeat the first verse and if you sing the first while the second is playing they don't match. So I experimented with some of the other songs and found that this was the case in most of them :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(.

I just got back into playing my flute after many years. I wanted to try some new music hence my purchase. The music is pretty easy and the CD is fun to follow but I don't think Taylor Swift songs sound too great on a flute. They are fun to play but there is just something lacking (can't quite put my finger on it!) And no, the songs don't match up to the actual songs (but often times they don't). Country music seems better suited to the guitar. :)
