This is a common fault of an RXV, I keep one on hand now to fix carts in the area.

Purchased 1 for my EZ-GO 2008 RXV gas cart; the description stated it fit my cart. I removed the flooring to replace the bad switch then discovered it would not fit. This switch was similar to the original but does not mate with the existing cable. Amazon is accepting the return. My 2008 RXV gas cart requires the switch with the short cable attached; that one works. Buy the switch with the cable attached; do not purchase the switch and cable separate.
