Yep there’s a difference but based on a visual comparison the Stens quality looks really good.I just returned one of those $10.00 varieties having received one duplicate, one missing and one malformed unrecognizable tip - utter garbage.Having just received the Stens set today, I cannot address correctness of fit, quality of metal or durability/longevity but this is a good 1st impression.While $40.00 is a bunch more than $10 or $20.00 I am happy with what I received. Some reviewers received bad Stens sets. Knowing that I still thought my chances of getting a higher quality set from Stens (given their reputation and the price difference) was quite good.There were no blemishes, bad silk screening or malformed tips in the set I received. I wish there wasn’t 3 flat screwdriver tips or that I didn’t potentially need to find some tips individually. Still this set is of much highly quality that the junk I returned.

I had other carburetor sets along this line for a size and they had very poor chrome plating especially on the inside of the smaller pieces such as the D-driver, to the point that it was useless for the very small screws within the carburetor. This set has a much better finish and it fit very well into the tiny d shaped screw setting

These are expensive drivers for what they are. Quality is lacking. Finish is poor. Probably no better than a $15 set. The Pac-Man tool size that I need for the carb isn’t even included in this set. Price doesn’t always equate to quality.

The kit is half way decent. Only kit with a small echo asjustment tool that actually fits. MetalIs soft, however. Gets the job done for the intended job. Expected STENS quality and branding, but it is still the nicest kit I’ve found out there.

The word 'Black' in the Amazon product description is misleading, not sure why that was added(?) The orange handles on the Stens are larger (about the same size as a Craftsman #1 Philips) and the pad printing is much higher quality than the black-handled knock-offs sold under a million different brand names. The Stens set comes with a couple more sizes of flat blade, but is missing a couple of the 'circle and offset dot' tools that may come with other sets. (I've never had a need/application for those anyway). The Stens 21-spline tool (to fit Poulan and others) only has 13 splines - it is missing 1 or two splines in 5 areas. At first I thought this was odd, then I realized it was pure genius. If someone tried using needle nose pliers and gnarled up splines on the 21-spline carb adjustment screw, the Stens tool will fit right over the messed up splines. Great idea!The only downside to the Stens set is that it does not come with a carry case, but you know that going in so I didn't knock off a star for that. Amazon sells a Mead pencil case with mesh panels that is perfect for showing which-tool-is-where (I keep the 8 less-used tools with handle-down, and the three most frequency used handle-up). I found this same case locally at a large national retail store for about half the price.

Product box was open and plastic wrap around tools was open too. Not recommended. Especially at the price advertised.Delivery was on time and exceptional.

They look goodThe 1 i ordered this set for worked but was a little loose, the small single DFor long term use i have my doubts they will lastBut then you never know
