This is an attractive bit of furniture. I got this step stool to put by bookshelves and it looks natural next to them. An aluminum stepladder does not look as good. This step stool seems well constructed and it does look nice. I have no problem with it. But this product has the same issue as many others we deal with currently. The manufacturer does not offer adequate instructions. While this step stool is not physically or technically difficult to put together the directions lack proper instruction. Everything is made easy and well supplied for the job except for the directions themselves. The photos are terrible. With certain photos I was not sure what I was looking at. The wording is off, and some steps are missing. Included with all the hardware were several stick-on felt pads. I had no idea why they were there. The directions do not mention them. Going to the photos on the Amazon product page helped me understand better what this stool looks like when finished and what the pads were for. This seems to be a good stool, but the instructions are lacking. Some people do not need them (it is not difficult). Others like me will want help from photos of the finished product.

This stool was easy to assemble with the video provided. It is the perfect height to belly up to the kitchen counter or island with a cool footstool so little feet don’t dangle. I can use it as a step ladder to reach high shelves in the kitchen cabinets. Love it!! I bought two!

Well made and sturdy. Helps our older cat climb places (the island where she shouldn't be but has to be!) and can put the lower step away if don't want or need or use.

The stool was really easy for me to assemble alone. It's a nice size. I am really happy with it. It's very sturdy and looks nice as well. It's great for children or adults.

This step stool is actually quite stylish but I don't know if it is the best thing for toddlers to use The flip down lower step is a bit unsteady and I could see a toddler easily tripping over it causing the whole thing to come crashing down. If you want to let your toddler use it then no one is going yo stop you but I wouldn't.

I am so in love with this stool! I have small children and we have tried so many stools in our house. This one is absolutely perfect for us. The stool itself can be used as additional seating so it doesn't need to be stored out of the way when not in use and the step flips in and out smoothly and with very minimal effort so small children can easy use it.The stool itself arrived in pieces but was very easy to put together. My 10 year old son actually put it together for me in about 10 minutes with no troubles at all. The pieces arrived nice and secure in a box and the quality of the wood is actually very nice and sturdy without being too heavy.
