I got this for my 3 year old. He can open and close it by himself. The color really does change in the rain! I like that the little points on the ends of the canopy part have little covers on the ends, so there are no sharp points to worry about. It is smaller than an umbrella for adults but fine for my son. He loves playing with this.

Perhaps my kids are just not gentle enough with umbrellas, but this one broke already, after not even a whole season. He used it as a cane on the street (when folded up) and it bent the top knob right off right away, and that’s what holds the umbrella’s tension so now it doesn’t open properly.

My son loves this and me too it does exactly what it says and it is so cool!! Shipping was weird but it came early so okay. I will be ordering another for my daughter. My son is 7 and this fits him great we bought it when he was 6. It will fit him for a while its a good size!

Super fun but also very functional. Very easy open and close and my five year old has no problems using it all by himself. Also, I have no fears of him pinching himself.

This is a very cute umbrella. My son loved that it changes color in the rain.However, this is a toddler sized umbrella, not a kid sized umbrella.It is the perfect size for my 2.5 year old and way too small for my 6 year old. Unfortunately, this was for the 6 year old.It's a super cute umbrella, just pay attention to the sizing, it's very small.
