The only thing I don't like about this paddle is that it's not regulation and its a bit heavy. However I basicly call it my cheater paddle. If you have a fair grasp on spin this paddle will basicly return shots for you. There is also a great pop that takes those awkward flick shots that shouldn't have enough power to get back to your aponent and make them possible. 100% I'd buy again. Oh, also it takes time to get the pads worked in like any other paddle. Give it time.

I work at a treatment center and the residents play a lot of table tennis - they are hard on equipment. The wooden paddles always get torn up in a relatively short period of time. This type lasts at least 10x longer than a wooden paddle. They are pretty bomb proof. They have lasted well over a year so far. They are institution tested and approved! More expensive than wooden paddles but you will save a lot of money by not having to constantly purchase the cheaper ones. They have very grippy rubber surface which can put a wicked spin on the ball. Great paddle all around.

Update Jan 17: tried out the Kettler Halo 5.0 mentioned in another review. Much lighter than the Stiga, almost same weight as regular indoor bat, smaller head size though. I would say get the Kettler if price isn't an issue, much more enjoyable to play with.Pretty solid bat. Much heavier than something like the Stiga Supreme. I wanted something similar to a hard back with more spin so this was great.I play purely for fun at work, but for those that are competitive, I think the rule is that a tournament bat needs to be at least 85% wood, so this bat wouldn't be eligible.

I bought four rackets for outdoor use about 1 and 1/2 years ago. We leave them outside on the table and play frequently. The three wood handle rackets are all falling apart (handles cracked in half, rubber falling off the racket head, etc.). Our Stiga flow racket has held up well. I am buying another one. My boys (ages 13 and 11) both prefer the Stiga flow over the lighter wood handle rackets. The Stiga is heavier but my boys say it has more power and they always fight for right to use it. I prefer the lighter wood rackets for personal use but the Stiga is very solid for outside use and hence I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is keeping their gear outside. I suppose we could bring rackets in and out but that's annoying.

Oh man, this thing is a bit heavy ,BUT the spins it gives, the returns I am able to do and I don't really need to swing it as hard, send the balls like bullets. My game has gotten a lot better. All my coworkers I play with want one now !!!

This is one heck of a ping pong paddle. It's ideal for spinners as it allows you to really add that additional spin as it adds the power. It does take a bit getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, you're untouchable. I call it the Elder Wand (referring to the wand in Harry Potter)

Bought this for my friend they hates the feel of wood on her hand. She loves it, it is surprising softer then I though, easy to spin. The weight of the paddle is more in the handle. But has a very sturdy feeling to it!

Great outdoor paddle. We live near a salt water bay, they get left out all the time. Incredible. They are weighted a little better than the competition. Because they are solid construction no amount of dropping or banging on the table can crack them.

I bought this as I was tired of breaking wooden paddles. First thing you should know is out of the box this outdoor paddle is very heavy, but it's because of the rubber. I removed the rubber and glued proper rubber onto it, I also shaved the handle as I use an unorthodox grip. It's now lightweight and No more broken wooden paddles. I have gotten used to this now and love it.

Below average built , can't play as the rubber in eneven n ball changes speed depending on where it touched the bat .
