This was a replacement for a broken one. Fits perfectly and was able to just reattach the new cylinder closer using original hardware that was still in place on the door and the door facing. Perfect match. Closes smoothly again.

Nice door closer. My storm door/screen door uses top and bottom closers and the original ones wore out, allowing the door to slam. I tried adjusting and they wouldn't slow the door before slamming, although they did still pull it closed. I checked Lowes, Home Depot, and other hardware stores around. Everyone carries black or white. This one was advertised as Sand, which is also the description of my door color. It turned out that the closers are more of a gray/almond color. See photos. Not bad but not matching the sand color I expected.One other issue is that the connection point on the cylinder is too close to the centerline so that I had to add a shim behind the piece connecting to the door. See on one photo how that sticks out a bit. I added just under 1/8 inch shim. I could have moved the connector piece on the jamb end but I wanted to use the same old screw holes.The price was excellent, installation was relatively simple, and the closers work very nicely. I would have liked to give 4.5 stars but that's not an option.
