This MagicTaiwan Music Binder does exactly what it claims to do. I received the version with the plain black cover. This music binder is a much better solution than a sloppy regular folder, or a 3 ring binder that doesn't quite lay flat or let you mark up music on the fly. When you open this binder you can get it to lay flat, or at least flat enough that it fits on a music stand or a piano stand. The pages have clear partial cellophane sleeves at the top and bottom, which allows you to slide your sheet music in, one page at a time. And since the sleeves only over the top and bottom 10-15% or so, it gives you the freedom and flexibility to mark up almost all of the actual note content. Sometimes you can't really write on the very top or bottom line of music if it's the second or third page of a song, but it's not too bad. The pages stay in their spots, even when you open and close the binder or flip though the sheets rapidly. You will need to use single-sided sheets, though. The binder has a removable slider down the middle that makes it easy to adjust the contents and add or substract sleeves.Overall, this music binder does exactly what its product description claims and so far it has been a durable and easy-to-use option to contain my marked up sheet music. No real complaints here!

I wanted to wait until I had used this some, including at a music conference, before I reviewed it.The binder is well made and the concept is sound. After receiving this for a Vine Voice review I went and bought the "expansion pack" of extra inserts (I'll get back to this). The covers are stiff and textured plastic, the comb is very stiff flat wire and the spine/binding is a flat piece of extruded vinyl. After I received the extra pages, I found it a bit of a challenge to add them and line up all the holes. The thin page holders are slippery and it was a little frustrating. I expect that if the page holders were loaded with sheet music it would be much easier to rearranged the pages, I have not done that yet.The extruded spine slides off very easily, this could be a potential problem. I could see how pulling it out of a bag or holding it wrong could cause the spine to slip off scattering pages all over the ground. While I have not had this happen, I have gone out of my way to handle it so as not to slide off the spine. This was the first exposure to this type of page holder and I found that there were others offering something similar. I do like this style of insert.I did not like that I had to buy extra pages. Looking at other examples, they are offering a larger number of pages for about the same price as this example that has less. The only advantage of this binder is the ability to rearrange the pages. I would be all in on this, and buy 3 or 4 more, if the included page count was higher. If you are not one to constantly change or rearrange your music then there is no advantage to this binder. It is because of the page count that I am deducting a star from the review as otherwise I really like this product and will continue to use it until all the pages tear.Is this a huge improvement over a three ring binder and generic office supply page holders? Not really. Is it somewhat of an improvement? Yes. This does cut down on glare (I attempted to illustrate that in my photos) and I do mark up my music so this system does work great for me.I also like that it is less clunky than a three ring binder.

I actually really like this little book. It fits in places better than a binder, and keeps music safe with out having to whole punch or put them into plastic sleeves. I like that the plastic sleeves have openings to write on the music when need be. My one complaint is that my choir director gives us two sided music. Because there is a full plastic sheet in between the pages i can not write on the back side of the music with out taking the sheet completely out. wish there was something that would be more useful for two sided scores

Great sheet music holder that is sturdy yet flexible. Love the no glare clear view transparent plastic cover in perfect thickness. I needed easy to use folder that is fussfree for stage performance and did not have have any visibility issues even with the lighting. Good value for money that fit all standard size sheet music. It looks very professional, light to carry and very versatile. Highly recommend!

This binder was meant for a family member that plays the piano. We print out sheet music and needed a way for him to easily flip through the songs while playing and not having to deal with individual pieces of paper. As you see from the picture you can lay the pages out flat and there's no warping of the sheets. It'll prop up nicely on the piano or a music stand. The design allows you to put the music in the page protector so it's fully protected or if you want to be able to write on your sheet music while playing the music you can utilize the thin strips on the top and bottom of the page to partially cover the sheet music but still allowing you to mark up the music. The design is great and allows for you to add additional sheet protectors very easily. Slip off the back of the binder and you gain easy access to add more. For the price ($16 at time of this review) I consider this a great deal.

As a musician, sometimes it's challenging to keep one's music from falling off a music stand. This music binder allows one to insert several sheets of music in any order they wish. When switching to another page or piece, just turn the page to it and no more having falling pieces of paper all over the place. And importantly, the way the music is inserted does not block any view or cause any glare of the music or pertinent notations. This would make an excellent gift for musicians of all ages. It would work great for band, jazz band, solo musicians, and pianists!
