This is a really great net at a very affordable price. I read a lot of reviews about nets breaking but I wonder how much stress they are being subjected to. This is not a super heavy duty net designed to pick up heavy rocks and bricks from the bottom of your pool but if you want to get leaves, twigs, pine needles, bugs, or just trash that's found its' way into your pool then this is a perfect item. I've been able to clean out the leaves, the twigs, pine needles, and bugs from my pool in just a couple of minutes and the net is big enough so that I can turn it around in the water and keep the stuff I've already collected in the net from popping out. I love it and would buy it again in a heartbeat! If you want to use this in a normal, regular way then it's a great net. If you want to use it for horseplay, getting footballs and toys out of the pool and then flinging them at someone, or simply using it as a water toy, which is not what it was designed for, then get something else! If you want to use it as it is intended to be used then this is the right product.

This is my 3rd pool net of various brands/kinds.Pros:The metal/aluminum frame is strong and still lightweightLarge net bagCons:Not as fine of a mesh as I wanted and have had before. Doesn't catch the smaller sized trash.I don't imagine that the thin material is going to last long before tearing. I know you'd expect a thin material in a fine mesh bag, but again, it's not that fine.

This is the second net I have purchased, the first worked great, but after a year of daily use the plastic frame broke. It’s lightweight but sturdy. Being lightweight the plastic is bound to not hold up over a year of heavy duty use. I still recommend this net and ordered a second time.

This fit snuggly on our old handle and the fine mesh does a bang up job removing even smaller bugs, leaves and grasses. The last replacement skimmer had a plastic fitting that never fit quite right. This one is metal and fits just right. Highly recommend! (And I'm picky)

Purchased this to go with the telescopic pole to be used for routine pond maintenance (pick up leaves, twigs, floating debris). The small ones were taking to long to use for my size of pond (10 by 12, 4 feet deep). So far it makes the job much faster, however not the most sturdy design, as the net came off the pole a couple times when using it. Popped right back in, but still was annoying.Overall, decent quality for the price paid.
