I’ve used heated mattress pads for decades because they’re super-effective, highly efficient, & convenient. They’ve looked like crap til now, & have all been at least 50% ungainly wiring harnesses & controls by weight. Awkward & dumb.Sunbeam set a new standard here, with a single, compact, extremely well-designed controller. It has 1 wall plug, & 1 cable which plugs into the bottom of the mattress pad. That’s for a queen or king, with split zones. You & your partner each want to control your respective side? Download the surprisingly well-designed & well-executed app & use your phone. Setup is easy, control is simple (even scheduling regular run-times), & it hasn’t crashed or lost its Bluetooth connection since I installed a month ago.In fact, 2 weeks in I bought a 2nd Sunbeam & scrapped an inferior product purchased earlier this year. I was amazed at how easy it was to add to the app as a new device, renaming both so we’d know which bedroom we were turning on.Wish list? Sure: a) it would benefit from more heat transfer wire in the “foot pockets,†& b) I’d be happier if they’d up the amps to deliver about 20% more heat on the “high/preheat†setting. That said, no regrets & a strong “buy†recommendation.

I suppose a heated mattress pad is a heated mattress pad. What sets this one apart is the app. Being able to set up a schedule means that you can set it up to have a nice toasty warm bed ready when you get in. No more cold sheets until you body temp warms things up. You can also set it up to turn off when you leave. It also has dual control so you can manage 1/2 the bed if your partner likes things warmer or cooler, although I will say there is plenty of bleed across you you definitely can feel it when the other 1/2 is set to a different temp setting. The only negative is the large plastic wire connector box at the foot of the bed. It is large & your feet will hit it. I had enough slack in the pad & the size of my mattress that I was able to work it down the side of the mattress so I don't hit it with my feet but if the pad is tight on your mattress, it could be an annoyance to you.

TL;DR: works well as long as you follow regular usage patterns, its pretty slow to warm and the app is a bit finicky.Comfort wise, it makes my bed feel a bit less comfortable but its not too noticeable. I don't feel the wires but I can feel the stitching if I try but I usually don't notice it.I usually head to bed approximately 10PM on a regular basis. Its pretty slow to warm up (I'd say takes a good 1-2 hrs if you use a lower heat setting) but I address this by using the smart app's scheduling system and have it turn on to my setting of '2' after 8PM on a regular basis so it has a good 2 hour head start. My s/o uses the 'L' setting which is the lowest.Note that it will take a bit of trial and error when using the heated pad, it may feel comfortable running a higher setting in the initial hours but after a few hours deep in sleep, you may wake up in the middle of the night feeling like your back and legs are on fire. I started off with a 5/6 the first few days and found it too hot and eventually settled for a 2 (which is the second to lowest setting). My issues with the app:- It has a caching bug and I regularly have to close the app on iOS and reopen it in order for it to correctly show the actual remote heat setting and timer counter.- The timer setting only allows timer selections with half hour intervals between .5 and 10 hours and 24 hours. I'm not sure why they decided to stop at 10 and jump to 24. Since I want to have the pad on between 8PM and 8AM (which is 12 hours), I have to do something silly: create a schedule that turns on at 8PM for 10 hours and then turn on again at 6AM for 2 hours.- The preheat feature doesn't seem to be automated, you need to manually select preheat and then change down to your desired setting once its warm enough. The scheduling doesn't have automated preheat so I just have it scheduled to turn on two hours before I actually go to bed.Overall I think the product is pretty solid, it already saved me about $70 last month by allowing my s/o and I to turn off the heater at night time (no thanks to PG&E and their insane natural gas prices in the Bay Area).

We have had several of these but this one is the one we like best, easy to setup and connect to the App and Alexa. No longer have to remember to turn it on before we go to bed and programmed to turn off when we tell Alexa goodnight. It also seems to have better heat coverage as well.

Funciona muy bien, rápidamente y no se sienten los cables, super efectiva, el único pero es que la aplicación no está disponible en México.

I set it on hi and one hour after it will drop to 4, still plenty to keep the bed warm. I haven't used alexa, just the app and I'm happy with it all.
