My cat has been over grooming, and I've tried another brand, and it worked well but it wasn't as soft as this one. It's not as thick as the others which works well so his head is in a more natural position at rest, and it doesn't interfere with eating. For reference he is around 11 Lbs. with a neck diameter of 10 inches the circumference of his head is around 11+ inches I purchased a size Large to ensure that it would slip over his head. You can adjust the string to a snug fit and I adjusted it by slipping a couple of fingers between his neck and drawstring to make sure it wasn't too tight. I'll go ahead and buy a second one so I can have a clean one on hand.
