We received everything prompt and in perfect condition. My husband said it was fairly easy to put tother, all parts were received and lined up. The completed unit fits nicely on our firepit, seems snug and I like that you can slide the one side back to put in more logs--we also purchased a fire poker/gripper with a long handle. We can't yet comment on how well it lasts when there's a fire--likely won't have a fire for several days but unless there's something that goes terribly bad it feels, looks and is study and the mesh is well woven.

We’ve now had our screen for a bit over a year and we couldn’t be more pleased. It’s sturdy and just the right weight, functions nicely and doesn’t show a single sign of rust. Highly recommend!

I like how much more height you get for a bigger fire and I like that you can open and close it without having to take it on and off like the one that came with our fire pit !Skip they’re instructions and go to YouTube. Way easier to watch someone put it together.

We love our screen! It is durable but attractive. The price was great. It is easy to assemble. My husband has decided to mount it so it is easier to open & close while there there is a fire. The description is very accurate on the site.

I have a custom fire pit made from my stainless steel drum from my washing machine (which I love). it is 21" across so I ordered the 22 " . it took a bit of bending and I had to bolt it to the back to fit my barrel so it did not fall off when I opened it as there is no lip to rest on. all in all it fit my needs I will spray paint it with 2000* BBQ paint before I use it. I just hope it will last a few summers.Update.....lasted 2 summers with lots of fires, screen started crumbling & falling off from so much use , I had a hard time finding a 22" screen like this so I ordered a 2nd one, this one was $20.00 less and much heavier and seems better built, I still need bolt it on to my type of fire pit but being much heavier steel I don't have the right tools so marked where I need it drilled and will find someone who will drill a couple holes for me, all in all we will get a lot of use of this and yes I would recommend......

I use lava rock in my gas fire pit. The rocks had gotten wet, so when the fire was on that water was causing pops and sparks. At times the rocks would pop out of the pit, this device stops those fragments from escaping and damaging the surrounding areas on my patio.

Buyers pay close attention If the holes won't align.As their instructions say, you will probably get a better outcome by reversing the top and bottom piece of one or both of the two sections.. Evidently there is a lot of carelessness with the stickers.I have built two firepit screens now (and kudos to the seller for accepting a return of one that was fractions of an inch too small!), and 3 of the 4 pairs of component screens were mislabeled.They fit nicely when properly alligned.

Fairly simple assembly, after opening/closing a couple times lid moves easily and works as desired…could be heavier gauge to give it additional stability/strength, but the addition Al weight might hamper ease of opening/closing so good as is…

Most of the reviews I read said this wouldn't hold up well to the weather. Mine sat outside all summer in the rain. Showing a little rust, but over all, not bad. I did put it in the shed for the winter. It assembled easily. Is quite a bit heavier/more solid than I expected. And the swivel to open and close works well. Even if I have to keep reminding everyone not to grab the handle after it's sat open over the fire. It's metal; it gets hot. Overall, happy with the purchase, and love the added comfort of not having embers flying up everywhere.

Product delivered earlier than specified from Amazon which was nice. We live on a river in rural Canada so deliveries can be tough sometimes. Packing was not great but this is not an easy thing to wrap. I had to cover a 37" diameter steel fire pit liner (in stone fire pit). It just made it. Even though specified as a 40" cover it is somewhat less than that in the area where the pivoting point is for raising one side of the cover. I found that the bolts at the pivot point kept coming loose when raising and lowering the cover. I went to the hardware store and bought lock nuts to put on in place of the ones supplied and that fixed it for me. Love the height of the cover to allow for larger sized fires and also the pivoting lid to access the fire to add logs. I put it away in a dry spot for the winter to prevent it rusting too quickly as they usually do. You can always fix that with high heat flat black spray paint.

We love this article - comes unmounted so a bit of work but final result is great. The only thing negative is that my husband is french and instructions were only in English so I was able to help out. Otherwise, seriously love it !

Ce couvercle de protection est parfait pour notre foyer extérieur. Facile à assembler et hyper pratique à manipuler avec son ouverture basculante (sans devoir enlever le couvert pour manipuler les bûches) il est solide et esthétique. Bien sûr sa grille protectrice empêche les étincelles de se propager. Nous sommes très heureux de notre achat.
