The clock movement works fine. However, the X-Y dimension are just a bit larger than advertised making for a very tight mount fit.

This mechanism fit my dollar store clock perfectly. Sounded completely silent! Then a few weeks go by. I start to notice a random, very high pitched noise randomly throughout the day. Its barely audible. If you can't hear very high pitched noises you probably couldn't notice and most of the time I didn't. But I noticed it often enough that it was getting on my nerves. It took a couple days to assume what was causing this annoying noise. When I took my clock down, took the battery out, I didn't hear it for the rest of the day! I put the battery back in and every 45 minutes or so it's back.The irony in a device designed to be quiet making my clock much louder is not lost on me.
