I thought about buying this many times, it sat in my cart for a long time. I haven’t had to use one since the late 2000’s. Now that I’m driving a 2005 with no security system, this makes me feel way better about security. I would recommend for older vehicles, even if it’s just for peace of mind.

Bought this steering wheel lock to my car to add extra security as police adviced, it feels sturdy and strong, so I don’t worry about it breaking easily. The bright yellow color is easy to see and makes my car less of a target when parked.Easy setting it ,only takes a few seconds to lock it in place, comes with two keys, so I always have a backup. It fits snugly on my steering wheel,the rubber parts help not damaging anything .This lock gives me peace of mind ,when I park in unfamiliar areas or even on my driveway. It’s a solid option for keeping my car safe.

Seems like a solid steering wheel lock. It is lighter than ones I have had in the past, but could quite possibly be made from a higher grade steel and still just as strong as ones I have previously had. Locking/unlocking action with the key is smooth and doesn't bind, but it does all that you expect from a lock like this.Steering wheel locks are not really needed much anymore with the advent of transponder keys. However the main point of having this is to make the next car along look like a softer target and it does that very well enough.

Not as heavyweight as the old school originals, an excellent deterrent none the less. Still going to do what these steering wheel locks are meant to do, which is to immobilise the steering wheel of a car, making it difficult for thieves to drive away with the vehicle. No it's not gonna stop a determined criminal, but if said theiver is choosing between a number of cars, why would they bother doing an extra thing to get yours. Clearly this isn't for high value vehicles, but if your standard car is parked on the street with a bunch of others, it should help to move said thief along to another option. These steering wheel locks were huge back in the day and I've seen more and more of them popping up in people's cars.

My old ute predates engine immobilisers but is still fairly precious to me so I’d rather it stay in my possession. This steering lock certainly presents a visual deterrent, hopefully persuading those looking for a free ride that there are easier pickings elsewhere. I’m sure a determined thief could get around it, but I suspect a determined thief would be looking for a more valuable prize than a 94 Hilux. I’ve decided to keep the car keys and steering lock keys separate to avoid the common situation where the keys get stolen.It’s easy and quick to fit and remove so I really don’t have any excuse not to use it. The key needs to be correctly aligned to fit, the notch on the key goes towards the red dot on the lock. It’s mentioned in the product listing but I’d forgotten which resulted in some head scratching
