I've only used this glue gun once and already i am amazed!! Works like a dream with no problems at all. Glue heats up fast (5 min) and very hot like molten lava with steam, but dries fast abt 1 min so my projects are quick and easy. Also my projects are much less "stringy" as the glue is fully melted when im using it. Cheap glue guns just don't cut it as they don't fully melt the glue which leads to loads of strings and a big mess. Also no dripping or overspill from the nozzle so no wasted glue.Word to the wise:don't lay your gun down sideways as the melted glue can leak out the sides/back and solidify making a mess and a clogged gun. I used the surebonder glue gun stand and it helps so much. Also if you don't use the exact diameter glue sticks recommended then the glue will always flow out the back of the gun instead of through the nozzle.Lastly this is a full sized gun and it needs to be as the entire front half heats up very hot while the back half by your hand remains cool. If it was any smaller it would be too hot to hold. I actually think the length of the gun helps me get into tight corners better than the mini glue guns did. So far i've made an entire rat maze with this gun and some cardboard with no mess at all.

It was amazing how fast I received this glue gun!! It was supposed to be here...tomorrow...7/10 but it got here on 7/7!! Which was great!!I used it right away...as I was in great need of the glue gun! It worked perfectly...a little smoke did come out...but otherwise perfectly! It puts out a nice thin strip of glue...so far does not drip and does not make much of a stringy mess! I have had an Aleen's Ultimate Glue Gun for many years and was "never" satisfied with it...it was a very very messy glue gun. The glue flow adjustment never ever worked! The nozzles would never stay on the gun...the glue would pour out of the back of the nozzles and then the nozzles would eventually fall off right in the middle of what ever I happened to be working on....it made using it a real problem. The nozzles would not stay on the gun no matter how tight I would get them on before plugging the gun in!This gun is so different, it is actually a pleasure to use! Should something happen in the near future that changes my mind I will write in an up-date!! So far this is a great gun...it is a little on the large size, but it is easy to use. I did buy the extra stand to go with it because I have not had any luck with the wire types that come with the gun...they tend to fall over...so I got this extra stand and it works great. The gun does not fall over and it even had a silicone pad to catch any drips that the glue will not stick to!! It was well worth the extra $6.!!!

I bought this heat gun on the recommendation by another maker that if I were doing a huge project that involved a glue gun, my little dollar store special was NOT going to cut it. I literally needed to go with the big gun.Well, my project was a cosplay Freddy Fazbear, and yeah, after just trying to use my little dollar store glue gun for ONE day of that project, I said, "Let's DO this," and bought the big gun. Man alive am I ever glad I did. Firstly, they call it burn glue for a reason - I never knew a glue gun could get this hot! (This is a good thing). The gun never burned me, but the glue, oh, the glue DID! But it's okay, a couple of second degree burns never hurt anyone (HA) - mine were small. I did the lavendar mixed with aloe and coconut oil thing, slathered it on, and two days later all was well. This gun is a workhorse! It melts the glue beautifully, and FAST, and though it does drip on occasion when first heating up, I find it doesn't at any other time, and I use a cutting mat as a work surface, so that wasn't any bother anyway. And the big trigger.....oh, such delightful control! I had NO idea a glue gun could do this! No burning of fingers by the glue gun, no giant globs of glue, I could smear the glue or make it a fine line or....it was just glorious to use. I am SO glad I purchased this, even if I never use it again (of course I will, I am a maker!) - for this project alone it was worth it. SO worth it!So in conclusion, it's not the heat of the gun you need to worry about, it's the heat of the glue - because you have never felt glue that was this hot before - but the hotter it is, the more control you have, as well - just try to keep your fingers out of the glue! AND get this glue gun if you are a maker, or are crafter. Or do cosplay. Do it. The giant lever-like trigger, the lovely blue, the HOT HEAT, the control, and the awesome foldable stand to prop up the gun in a VERY steady way - ALL things you want!

So we make fursuits, so we glue A LOT of upholstery foam. This would be a 5 star review but unfortunately it melts the foam. That is not an issue with the gluegun itself, in fact it was absolutely wonderful for everything besides upholstery foam. We reached out to surebonder and bought this model in the dual temp version and it works perfectly. The nozzles are interchangeable which is super nice especially for getting into tight spots where we cant touch the fur with the nozzle because of heat. We've been using surebonder since the beginning. Their quality for price is UNMATCHED! This gluegun is no different. Definitely a qualtity product and we will continue to use their products for all our hot glue needs!

Works Great. Heats up faster than my previous 40 watt Stanly glue gun, and dispenses more easily too.

Oh man this glue gun is awesome for the price: Ok it has a larger body than I expected, but the large handle is a pleasure to work with. The flimsy metal stand is cheap sure, but it does the job holding the gun up. When up it does not drip glue or emit smoke. You can remove a glue stick once you've started as it does not melt on to the core like cheap models do. Recommended!

Yes its that bad ...you think if you spend alittle more the quality will be there? Yeah well not on this item. My cheap Mastercraft that I purchased well over a decade ago (still working flawless) is far batter than this POS... I can guarantee this thing wont last a year much less 10 without some kind of failure. The trigger is sloppy and screams cheap with every pull. It's clogged every time I go to use it requiring me to waste glue to clear the nozzle (my Mastercraft never does that when it's heated its ready to go right away) *It takes forever to heat compared to my old one (at half the price) Calling this a "professional" tool is a complete joke both because of the cons mentioned above and the fact that it doesn't feed enough glue per pull for bigger jobs.I thought I was purchasing an upgrade to my already decent glue gun but this is instead ...a perfect example of buyers remorse. Just avoid it and you will thank me. I got ripped off no two ways about ...it in a word its "junk"
