Their triple-flanged stem design fits larger ear canals and provides a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 24dB. Sounds, at safe levels, are allowed to pass through into the ear canal, while potentially harmful noises (above 85dB) are reduced via a proprietary design that incorporates a special noise-reducing filter. EP4s include attached filter caps, which can be inserted for additional protection and blocking out lower-level noise, like that heard on a plane, where hearing ambient sounds or conversations isn't critical. Right/left color-coded Sonic Defenders Plus are made from a soft but durable, hypoallergenic polymer that provides all-day comfort and an extended product life (up to 6+ months, depending on usage and care). Their patented EarLock retention rings lock the earplugs in place, while soft, adjustable triple-flanged stems provide secure seals in the ear canals. A low-profile design means EP4s can be worn while wearing a helmet or mask, or while using a phone or headset. Available in clear, black, or orange. Comfortable EP4 Sonic Defenders Plus also serve as earpieces for compatible radio communication systems simply by removing the noise-reducing filter and attaching the earpiece to the system. NOTE: EP4 earpiece no longer provides hearing protection once the noise-reducing filter has been removed.

I am a musician, firefighter, and gun enthusiast- so having earplugs at the ready is a must. These have been my go-to for years. They cut about 20db off of everything, but do not impact clarity. Comfort is excellent, and durability is far better than expected for the cost. The carrying case is a fantastic addition, and goes in my pocket every day.I use these almost daily, recommend them to my students, and feel they're about as essential as a good pair of work gloves.A couple notes:- These come in three sizes. If they don't seem to fit, you're probably using the wrong size. Look at Surefire's website for more info on sizing. Most poor reviews of these are for people who don't understand how to put them in correctly or are wearing the wrong size...- They are washable, and will basically last forever. After washing, make sure to let them dry for a full 2 days.- The flesh-colored ones are super creepy looking, but they basically vanish into your ear.- The filter covers are very effective. Pop the caps out and it lets in about 10db more.Highly, highly recommended.

Very comfortable, easy to put in, and not as wasteful as foam disposables. I use them for shooting hearing protection and it works great for pistols and small caliber stuff with the plugs out. With plugs out you can easily hear normal volume conversation and is great to give and receive range safety instruction. With plugs in its good for all rifles without brakes, but conversation is pretty muted. In my opinion does not provide quite enough (comfortable) protection for magnum rifles with brakes or indoors. But a great combo with some over-ears for these extremely loud scenarios to completely turn off all sounds from the world.

These are great, work well for an outdoor range. They do not provide enough protection for an indoor range, which is much louder. They filter out loud noises while letting you carry out a normal conversation. They are very comfortable and you can wear them all day long. I recommend this model - EP4 (triple flanged) instead of the EP3 (double flanged).

I work around large commercial aircraft and needed some small ear defenders. The large over the ear ones are best but they can be a bit cumbersome. I love how these fit inside my ears and can be put in and out quickly. I’ve not bothered with the lanyard which doesn’t seem to hold the ear plugs very well. I’ll rely on the box to keep me from losing them.I’ve tried quite a few ear plugs over the years. Some that require molding to be ear with hot water (hopeless!) amongst some. These seem the best so far.

Good hearing protection but it’s hard to quickly plug the holes. I thought I could use these deer hunting and “plug†the holes quickly when I needed to shoot. Instead I was fumbling around and couldn’t get it plugged.

I purchased these to use at my daughter’s dance competitions, as those of you that have attended these know how loud the music can be. Needless to say no more crazy headaches after the comps.

I've got electronic ear pro, which works great. But, they are generally more bulky and between uses the batteries corrode or drain and I forget to put new ones in before I grab my bag and go out. Now, these can't compete with the electronic one that amplify ambient noise while cutting out gunshots, but you won't find anything to beat them at this price. Even with the plug pulled out, you'll hear your own voice in your head when you talk, but you'll be able to have conversations at regular voice levels while protecting your ears from high Db noises. They can be worn all day comfortably as long as you purchase the right size for your ears.I keep several pairs around.

Earplugs work great, they feel amazing and stay in place very well but most importantly they block out noise, just wish they were a lil bit cheaper in price.

Aunque su principal función es para la cacerÃa yo lo uso para nadar. Y funciona de maravilla no me entra nada de agua en los oÃdos. El color naranja resalta y es perfecto por si se te cae en la alberca puedes encontrarlos con facilidad (aunque nunca me ha pasado esto). Es un producto duradero. Estoy súper contento con la compra.
