I've tried this out a few times now with good results. I've used this tool on XC70, C30 and S40 struts so far.It holds secure enough to stay on the strut while removing and installing the assembly. It also spreads the knuckle well enough to make it easy to install aftermarket struts that usually have a thicker finish on them and are a lot more difficult to install.

This tool worked perfectly for replacing the struts on my car. It was able to pry open the knuckle for strut removal, way better than using a pry bar. It is made of good quality metal and will last a long time.

Everything due to it not being the product I tried to order, very annoying, no rounded end, only a flat end. Was not usable for my steering knuckle pinch, had to free up the ball joint hammering my pry bar into the pinch and it finally came loose. This product is a waste of time unless you are for certain a 1/4" thickness on a flat end will suffice your needs.

This is advertised as having a concave and flat side, it only has a flat side.
