Meet SUSTEE
SUSTEE is a modern, Japanese soil moisture sensor. The blue color indicates that there is enough water in the soil, and the while color indicate that plant is in need of watering. SUSTEE features a minimal aesthetic that doesn't take away from the beauty of your plants.

Color
Has your SUSTEE turned white? That means it is time to water! After watering, the white insert will change to a blue color. This indicates that there is enough water in the soil.
Soil
SUSTEE can be used with almost all plants that grow in soils with a certain level of moisture retention. This includes akadama soil, black earth, bark, coco peat, peat moss and vermiculite.
Insertion Depth
When inserting SUSTEE, please ensure that the Ω mark found on the stick is entirely covered. Please also make sure that the transpiration opening is visible if the stick is needing to go deeper.
Time
The time it takes to change color will depend on the amount of water given and the water retention level. When using SUSTEE for the first time, please water generously. The small stick takes approximately 3 minutes, the medium 15 minutes, and the large 25 minutes.

I just had to replace my first Sustee Aqua Meter insert and it took less than 30 seconds. Remove clear top, remove old core, insert new core, replace top, and ready to use again. I am very please with these water meters. They work fantastic.

I live in Phoenix, AZ and I use these moisture meters in potted succulents outdoors, specifically "Elephant's Food." Phoenix gets very hot in the summer, occasionally up to 120.Ëš These plants require a very porous soil and should never be over or underwatered. The moisture meters make it easy. As soon as the meters turn white, I know it's time to give them a drenching. Using this method they grow wonderfully!

I bought these refills because I like the product and how it helps let me know when floor plants need water, however, the refills I received are defective. I notice after watering The indicator stayed white so I put it in a tall glass of water and left it in there for a 1/2 hour and it is saturated from top to bottom and still white.

I like these when they work. There were two of the four that just turned green immediately and didn't work at all. That makes those that work very expensive!

My fiscus was dropping leaves like crazy, either too much or too little water. Since using the Sustee sticks all my plants are doing much better. My monstera (swiss cheese) has now reached the ceiling and my fiscus coloration is much improved. I will continue to use them.

I have been buying these semi-annually for some of my more important house plants. Great product to keep you reminded on watering.However, this time, one of them was slightly bent. There was no way to get it into the holder so I had to just throw it away. I was only given an option to return all 4 refills when I really just needed another 2 pack to be re-sent.

I have been using the Sustee Aqua Meters for quite awhile and have been very happy with them. Thinking it was best for the environment I ordered the refills. I ordered the small, medium and large refills. When I received them the blue water sensor paper was not securely attached to the sticks. They turned blue when I watered my plants but they never turned white to indicate my plants needed to be watered again. Even when I removed them from the soil and waited over a week, they never turned white. Past 30 days so I cannot return them.
