The SV220 dual-band filter is designed for astrophotography of emission nebulae, planetary nebulae and supernova remnants. The high transmission and sharp cut-off greatly enhances the contrast of image and brings out the most detailed information of those deep-sky objects.

The 7nm dual-band filter allows OIII (500.7nm) and H-Alpha (656.3nm) nebula emission lines to be highly transparent, strongly isolates the nebulae's emissions into H-Alpha (red) and OIII (green-blue), and drastically reduces the effect of light pollution.

Great filter at a good price! Good results with my stock/unmodified canon DSLR. Still able to focus on bright stars using a bahtinov mask. Suppresses over exposed and bloated stars, minimizing the need for star reduction. Blocks almost all moon-glow, allowing more emission nebulae to be imaged during the full moon. Of course it's not suitable for reflection nebula and galaxies, since it only passes Ha and OIII.

This filter works amazing for adding contrast to emissions nebulae, especially for OSC and DSLR cameras. It is a narrow band filter, so it will cut out a lot of light by design. I've found that doubling either time or ISO gets you pretty close for exposure. If you're wanting to start imaging emission nebulae, I highly recommend this filter. I've attached pictures of the Orion and Rosette nebulae that I took through this filter. Imaging was done in class 5 conditions with a stock Canon R100 and a Skywatcher Quattro 150P

Giving this a 4 for the time being since I'm using an unmodified DSLR which isn't very sensitive to Ha. That said I'm getting very decent results. I'm now in the North Carolina mountains (Bortle 5-6) so I expect to get better results and I have an ASI533MC Pro on order. Wwill update the review after testing with a real astro camera.Attached are images of NGC6992-C33-Veil Nebula and NGC2359-Thor'sHelmet taken in Bortle 8-9 skies near downtown St, Petersburg, Fl and with

I have posted 4 images total, 2 whith the SVBONY 220 Dual band filter on and 2 whith the filter off. These where taken whith an IPhone 15 pro and a 102mm maksotov scope in a Bortle 7-8 sky these are single 30 second exposures mostly low on the horizon 20-43 degree above horizon whith intense light glow. It has done an excellent job of removing the light pollution and really showing the nebulas color as well as contrast! I simply can’t recommend this filter enough it’s pro quality for half the price of Optolong filter. The images above are in order the Eagle Nebula messier 16 and home to the pillars of creation the second image is the lagoon nebula messier 8

Fits 2 inch eyepieces. Made to reduce light pollution. Cannot comment on efficiency as have not used it yet due to weather conditions, sorry.

Super satisfied with using this dual-band filter on my ASI533MC widefield imaging rig, at all f-stops down to f/2! Both Ha and OIII emissions are excellently filtered with strong contrast against the sky background, and there are practically no haloing issues at reasonable DSO exposure times (Jupiter had some but that was when it photobombed my FOV haha, Vega and other bright stars may have some too). I mounted the 1.25" version on the T2-1.25" Filter Adapter close to the sensor window. My attached photos were samples taken with this filter on the imaging rig and it really made a few hours of exposure time per night enjoyable with these large HII regions.

Por el precio, es un buen filtro, especialmente para principiantes o quienes no buscan fotografías 100% perfectas. Produce halos, especialmente en las estrellas más brillantes. Pero es un buen producto para comenzar en el aprendizaje y uso de fotografía de doble banda estrecha.
