The Big 12® is seven tools in one: a framing square, try square, miter square, protractor, saw guide, stair gauge and out-of-square corner angle finder. It’s constructed of heavy-gauge aluminum alloy and includes the Layout Bar for use in determining out-of-square corners. Also included are the Swanson® Blue Book for roof and stairway layout and Layout Bar with hardware.

Swanson's Speed Square is a popular pocket sized square that incorporates features of the framing square, tri, mitre, and protractor squares. Common rafter and hip/valley rafter scales permit one-number references for all cuts. The square is merely rotated to the proper roof pitch value on either scale to assure the correct angle cut. The slot along the scales will accommodate an adjustable locking pin for repetitive cuts using any 1/4-inch bolt and nut. Comes with a handy, 62 page pocket sized booklet that provides vital instructions, reference diagrams, and tables for the construction of roofs and stairs.

I have Swanson squares in the 7 inch metal and plastic versions. They are incredibly accurate, each and every one. Do the "flip" test and you will see what I mean. I bought these to use to square up my table saw fence to the table. Worked great. You will find a ton of uses for these things to make sure everything from drawers to shelving units are perfectly square.

Very handy tool. I use it for basic measurements on lumber, and as a guide for cuts with my cordless circular saw. I guess I should build some stairs to make use of more of the features.... someday....

Overall, this is a solid, heavy square. Not sure if I will ever use the extra pieces, as I am more of a DIY guy. As seen in the photo, quality control on printing isn't the best but it likely won't affect it's use.

I have this in 2 sizes. It’s a must-have for anyone doing a project. Helps get perfectly straight lines for cuts. Great for a novice and a professional.

Although I’m not building roofs or stairs which I would guess is the most common use. It does very well for marking 90 degree lines for easy cutting with the miter saw or to use as a guide with the circular saw. Very happy with the larger size!

Me es muy útil. De buen tamaño para usarlo también como guÃa para sierra circular asi como también su grosor es ancho ya que he visto otras escuadras rápidas muy delgadas. también es útil para que asiente bien la madera cuando vas a poner un tejabán. Estoy satisfecho con el producto.

Very useful triangle. It is big so if you are looking for something easy to handle better go for the smaller version. Because it is pretty thick I find myself using it as a guide for my circular saw as well which gives easy and very straight cuts.

HacÃa tiempo que estaba buscando esta escuadra pues la habÃa visto en vÃdeos de trabajos de carpinterÃa y al verla en promoción en el Amazon Prime Day, la solicité junto con la de 7 pulgadas, para tener el juego. Muy útiles ambas. Las recomiendo
