You need to confirm your water pump, and the advised water flow of our mini heat pump is 400~1000GPH. If the water pump flow is too large and the water circulation is too fast, the heat pump will not have enough time to heat the water. You can use a diverter valve kit to divert and limit the flow
When the pump works properly, there is a temperature difference between the fan outlet and the back air inlet, and also a temperature difference between the water inlet and the outlet It is recommended to use an ordinary swimming pool cover or a solar swimming pool cover for heat preservation If you want your pool's temperature to rise quickly.
The machine must be operated with 110V/60HZ US voltage, and the water pump and heat pump must be running at the same time.

If the machine is found to be frosted and frozen, check the air humidity and ambient temperature. The COASTS-3.5 can operate in ambient temp ranging from above 46F to below 100F. It performs optimally in above 60F.

3.Is it compatible with saltwater?

Yes, all our heaters are equipped with titanium heat exchangers, which are compatible with both saltwater and freshwater.

4.Why it is necessary to put a solar cover?

A solar cover is significant helpful to prevent heat loss and facilitate faster heating of the pool to your desired temperature.

Other than the hoses and short power plug, the heater seems to work fine. Have a 15ft pool and it takes several hours fore it to move the temperature, but then it starts steadily rising. Have to cover in the rain.
