I had an issue on my bumper and grabbed this to attach a piece. I used liquid nail on a piece and then reinforced with this kit and a couple of rivets and its held perfectly.

The Swpeet Poly Rivet Gun Set / Rivet Removal Tool was the perfect tool for a recent upgrade on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL. The rivet removal tool made it easy to pop off the rivets from inside the fender, and the Rivet gun made it easy to install new rivets. I had to remove and replace about eight rivets per fender to install additional marker lights and fender extensions. This tool make the process easy and fast, and produced professional results. The right tool for the right job. The product description has plenty of pics of the actual product, so I am just including a pic of the final result of actual project this tool was used for.

I got this to replace the fasteners on the fender liner on the wife's Charger. The fasteners cannot be re-used once removed because you have to break them to get them out. The kit came with just enough fasteners on the right size but about half failed. Either the stem broke before it locked the rivet or the stem was missing. Good thing I bought another bag. I also used these rivets to replace other missing fasteners in the same area.

This is a great little tool, especially for the price. I also like that they include a pry tool, which came in handy for popping the rivets in the hood seal I was replacing. There was a bit of a learning curve, because I had not used a plastic rivet gun before.I did have the end of the rivet get stuck a couple of times, as other reviewers mentioned. But you can simply unscrew the end of the tool to expose the part that grabs the rivet stem and use pliers to pull it out. Sometimes I just needed to pull the handles further apart to reset the tool.If you're looking for a basic tool to attach plastic parts, I highly recommend this one. I attached a front license plate bracket to my daughter's car and a hood seal on my car using this tool. The rivets in this kit actually fit better than the ones in the replacement seal.

I bought this primarily for the assortment of rivets as I already had the two tools that it came with. I did use the rivet gun for my installation, though. For the project at hand, the largest rivets that came with the set were the right size. Upon installation, four of them were defective (photos attached). The others that did hold up through removal of the center rod are very wobbly. I suspect they did not compress properly either and will need to be replaced. Separately through Amazon, I bought another package of larger plastic rivets (different brand), and they both went in very well using the tool with this set. The issue is clearly the inferior plastic rivets that came with this set. Do yourself a favor and buy something other than this product. The gun may be OK, but the other 40 pieces that come with it (i.e., all the rivets) are of shoddy quality and are not even worth the hassle of MAYBE getting one to work properly.

I thought my trusty pliers style crimping tool would fit 1/4" rivets but they only go to 3/16" so I had to get this butterfly type. Worked perfectly to reattach the plastic fender liners (plastic rivets) for my Jeep JK Rubicon. Now I've got most sizes of rivets covered for future projects. It was easier to squeeze than I thought it would be, as long as the pieces you are riveting are stationary. 2-3 squeezes and the rivets popped off at the base. A little shaking and the rivet stud drops into the catch bottle.

I bought this because I needed to remove and reinstall the back number cover on my SUV to add a trailer hitch. One of the places I needed to install rivets was the rear wheel wells. This tool, unlike comparable metal rivet guns, is designed with the handle in a straight line rather than at 90 degrees from the applicator tip. I really had to struggle to pop those rivets in place, because the tire was directly in the way. Short of pulling the wheels off I don’t know of a workaround. There used to be a 90-degree version of this tool on the market but it’s not available any more. Hmph. That said, the tool is well made and sturdy.
