Product was easy to install. We did take other reviews into consideration when performing the replacement. We did not need any special tools to remove the old one, although it was a tiny bit difficult to remove due to the old one being stripped. The handle works like new again.

Ordered the main flow valve for my shower control because I was not getting much hot water and the showerwas cold. Put up with it for a year and finally decided enough is enough. Put the valve in which was prettyeasy after watching a video on installing it and turned on the water and finally had hot and cold water mixedto have a warmer shower again. Worked out great.

This TA 10 spindle fit perfectly. Saved $300 plumber's fee. Did it myself, first time. There should be some instruction for us non plumbers on easy way to remove the cartridge. ( be sure to have faucet in open position) I was fearful that the part ordered was wrong one, it arrive the next day and fit perfectly. Now my custom made tub has hot / cold running water. feels good to DIY.

Bought this from Amazon's "Symmons Store" in 2017 for a neighbor's shower. It installed just fine; when the water didn't get hot, she said she had her boiler set deliberately low - she didn't want it hot at the time so toddler grandkids wouldn't get scalded. Now that the toddlers are in school, I suggested we adjust the valve so she can finally get a warm shower. Followed all the instructions I could find online, but the water in the shower is still cold. A plumber I know said this is a common problem with knockoffs of this valve. Symmons says "limited lifetime warranty" - I won't hold my breath waiting for them to make good on it.

This Symmons TA-10 spindle was an exact replacement for the one in our upstairs tub/shower Temp-Trol valve. I also replaced the hot and cold seats at the same time I replaced this part. This spindle was a little expensive, but at least it is an actual Symmons OEM part and works perfectly. Hopefully it will last long as the old one did as well, which was about 12-years with practically daily use.

I had issues with the leaky showerhead and this was the easiest way to fix it. There are many parts in the symmons temp control and it was simple to fix the leak and make the shower like new with his. I would buy this again if needed,hopefully i dont though :-)
