These are a good price at $0.50 per filter. I had to use 5-6 per sample since they almost instantly clog up, which was expected for the water that I am filtering. I can only get ~5-10ml of water sample before needing a new filter. One of the filters became perforated either from the force placed on it from the syringe or it was defective. Either way these work great.

For the record let me say that I hate to use these necessary filters. My dislike stems from the fact that they filter so little before needing replacement. It takes a while to filter a liter through these tiny things. They get the job done the way they are designed to I just wish they were larger so I could use a larger syringe to make the process faster.I'll keep buying them until the time comes they are made larger.

These are great syringe filters. They do make for a cleaner sample. I only had a few bad ones which wasn't to bad out of 100. I highly recommend these. I will definitely purchase them again.

Even water had a difficult pass through these filters. Seemed to clog very quickly compared to other materials, perhaps proteins.I wonder if it is possible to use other material filters, in line, to achieve greater filtration and/or to prevent clogging thus extending filter life.I prefer PTFE.
