Just goes in-between the syringe and the needle. Thought I would give it a first test on the coffee at the bottom of the pot with all the fine silt. The coffee in the syringe was perfectly clear. Kind of a stupid use of it, but I wanted to test one out so I could do the review. Plan on using these in the shop to help filter lubricants and solvents and stuff. It should work a treat to keep particles out of stuff that I transfer or apply with the little syringes with blunt dispenser needles.

not sure if necessary for my application but they seem to work and attach securely to the end of the tip. price is right as well. if you are familiar with using these, they work the same as any other, I don’t have the proper equipment or capability to do any real scientific testing to back up the claimed filtering ability, but for what I am using them, for they seem to do a fine job.
