This handle is a perfect fit to replace the broken one on my 06 canyon. Please note it does not have the replacement clips for the internal arms that connect to it so if yours are broken do not install until you get replacement clips like I did. Now I have to find a way into my bed without destroying my cover. I did not remove any stars because it’s a great fit and I’m not sure if it should have the clips or not.

Had never dealt with a tailgate problem before so wasn't sure if it was the handle or something to do with the latch mechanism on each side of the tailgate. Removed the part of the bed liner covering the inside of the tailgate and the access panel for the handle. The handle was broken where one of the rods that connects to the side latch was attached. Removed the little clips that held the rods in place, removed the handle, installed the new handle, clips, replaced access cover and bed liner. 15 to 20 minutes. Simple job. (Should note that I opened it up first to verify problem was the handle. Once I knew it was the handle, closed everything up and ordered the new handle. Needed to use the truck and didn't want to leave things open while I waited for the handle.)

The tailgate handle recently broke on my 2011 Colorado. After reading a bunch of reviews, this replacement seemed like it would be a reasonable replacement. As others noted (and I would agree), the quality is consistent with the OEM part. For the price, great value...
