I replaced the 3 speed switch on an old 20" box fan. We hadn't had the knob on the switch for quite some time, but one of the prongs on the switch had broken off. I was going to throw the whole thing out, but came across these switches. I took the old switch out, checked the specs on it and this one matched up pretty well.Ordered the switches (only needed one). Cleaned up the fan blades, case, etc. Put the new switch in and now it works like new!

Almost a direct replacement, I had to file down some of the plastic on the threaded collar so it lined up with the slot of my outdoor fan unit. works great.

Switch works as designed, no problems. The best part is how much this switch confuses my wife. The fan is a 2-speed fan, so the switch has off-off-on-on. I keep telling her she must have broken it, try it again and see if it works the second time....Life is good.

The shaft broke on the switch for my Lakewood P223 vintage box fan. I ordered this switch and it was almost a perfect replacement for the original GE switch! Good quality and price!

Overall, they're just ok. I ordered 6 of these for a project. Only 5 of them worked. One was defective. The other thing that is more important is you can over rotate the switch. If the positions are off, 1, 2, 3, You can turn the dial another half turn past 3. When you turn it off you can rotate it a half turn past off. If someone doesn't know this while using them, there is potential they could break the switch. They're not very durable.

The switch on my fan broke and I thought I would have to throw it away. I saw these and decided to order them. I'm so glad I did. I was able to fix my switch with no problem.

Pros:Should last a long time due to its non-brittle plastic construction.Great conductivity.If you want to reuse these switches after bending the wire connection wipers, you can easily take it apart and bend it back using the flexible clips on two sides of it.Usable for a variety of purposes, such as range hoods, and especially three-speed fans like box fans, pedestal fans, floor fans, etcCons:Enough force can cause the dial to run into issues such as wobbling from side to side. It is not the exact proper dial for the switch itself.Overall, SPH recommends this product.
