I like these, they work but the high tom one slides off. My recommendation would be to Tama to Make these without the shiny slick side that goes down on the drum. It should be rubber both on the top and bottom, it’ll muffle better and it’ll stay on the drum better. That’s just my thought!

purchased the full set they’re basically soft foam yet firm with a thin plastic that sticks on on side - used it for a little bit while practicing and then for rehearsal - then play with them off and on decided to keep the snare ring on takeoff the rest and use plastic rings instead with gels

I use these on my kit with low volume cymbals and hot rods or blastics for low volume rehearsals with my band. Drums sound muted but that is expected. Only drawback for me is that these are very wide. This affects the response of the drum heads and the “playable†surface area on the snare is limited. Overall, I think these are very clever. They allow me to play my acoustic drums versus electronic drums in low volume settings.

Using these with my new Zildjian low-vol cymbals is perfect!! Practice is much better and no one is being disturbed…..my ears are also happy!!

The rings are fairly effective at lowering the noise level (40-50%) yet retaining the natural feel and tone. The foam kick drum beater is great. An easy swap.Now the downside... the ring for the floor tom does not lay flat for me, which I suspect was a packaging issue (standing on its end for too long inside the box). The others are fine. I'm going to try double-sided tape to get more contact with the drum head.You may be better off buying this in person to see the product first.UPDATE : a few later... the double-sided tape is working fairly well at holding the ring flat on the head of the floor tom.
